This will pay for itself 10-fold. They will: - Get under the skin of your marketing need - Ascertain exactly what you're trying to achieve - Help identify who your ICP is - Where they hang out - What channels to use to engage with them - What budgets are appropriate - What martech to use - If a hire is appropriate, they'll probably write you a job spec as well The list goes on... just please stop sitting there like a neanderthal poking the fire shouting "We need all the marketing". I totally agree with this. A lot of businesses think they need to hire in-house for specialist roles like Google Ads while covering SEO, social media, and email. This can work when ad accounts spend under £5k per month; however, when the business grows alongside spending, the in-house team member can be stretched too thin. A good process: 1. Get fractional CMO in to run an audit and assess which channels they need to focus on to drive the business, factoring in budget (and even suggesting so). 2. Based on needs, either hire in-house or work with the fractional CMOs network to bring in specialist freelancers/agencies for Google ads, SEO, email, social media, etc. 3. If hiring freelancers/agencies let the fractional cmo manage the relationship and be the person to overlook all core activity.
