“Hey fellow car care enthusiasts, let’s talk about the exciting generational shift happening in our industry! 🚗💫 As the years pass and new generations come of age, we’re witnessing a growing appreciation for the art of cleaning and maintaining cars. What was once seen as a chore is now being embraced as a hobby and a form of self-expression, with more people than ever taking pride in the appearance and condition of their vehicles. But perhaps even more exciting is the trend of passing down car care knowledge from one generation to the next. Whether it’s teaching your kids how to wash and wax a car, sharing detailing tips with your grandkids, or learning from the wisdom of older generations, there’s a sense of camaraderie and continuity that transcends age and experience. Here are a few reasons why this generational shift is so significant: 1. Preserving traditions: Car care has long been a cherished tradition passed down through families and communities. By continuing to teach and learn from one another, we honor the legacy of those who came before us and ensure that their knowledge and expertise are not lost to time. 2. Fostering connections: Car care is about more than just keeping your vehicle looking shiny and new—it’s about building connections and creating memories with loved ones. Whether it’s spending a sunny afternoon washing cars with family or sharing stories and tips with fellow enthusiasts, car care brings people together in meaningful ways. 3. Empowering future generations: By equipping young people with the skills and knowledge they need to care for their cars, we empower them to take pride in their vehicles and become responsible stewards of automotive heritage. Whether they’re driving classic cars or cutting-edge electric vehicles, the lessons they learn about car care will serve them well for years to come. So, let’s celebrate this exciting generational shift in the car care industry and continue to pass down our passion and expertise to future generations. Together, we can ensure that the love of cars and the art of car care remain vibrant and thriving for years to come! 🌟🔧 #GenerationalShift #CarCareLegacy #PassingDownWisdom #JamieSilversProfessionalDetailing”

It's Thanksgiving in the US--one of my favorite holidays. It's simple and it's profound. What are you thankful for? We have a family tradition of going around the table and each person saying one thing they're thankful for this year. After seeing this video, I'm now thinking about how thankful I am for all the things that didn't happen! (Dads brace yourselves for a really powerful emotional ride.) FYI, don't pay attention to their title for the video. It's not about the car at all--trust me. It's worth a couple of minutes to watch until the very end (there's a big moment at the end). They got the video story right and missed the point on the video title. The customer is the hero, not the product. https://lnkd.in/ehCwKT_7 And while I have directly helped companies create billions of dollars of revenue while working with them, that's not what's most important. I know far too many lonely billionaires. Invest in your family and friends, even if means you have less net worth. That's more valuable than money by yourself. Bonus: if you want people to talk about your company and share things (like I did with this video) figure out how to tell stories--and make your customer the hero of the story, not you!

We all use CROSSINGS of all kinds many times a day, as soon as we get out of our front door, regardless of whether we're walking/wheeling, cycling or driving. But we hardly give them a thought. We mostly take them as they come & suffering added stress / discomfort where they've not been designed or planned properly. But to be fair, the brunt of any stress or discomfort at crossings is borne by those at the top of the hierarchy of road users in the Highway Code, often otherwise referred to as "vulnerable road users". If you're interested in thinking more about Crossings (& esp. if you're a professional involved in designing them!), do read Wheels For Wellbeing 's latest discussion paper on the topic. 👇👇👇
What exactly is a "crossing"? Incredibly, there doesn't seem to be a single, widely-available definition! We think crossing design and implementation needs much more attention to ensure Disabled people have equal access to journey-making options - so our latest discussion sheet is a thought experiment considering what crossings are, and how they can be made accessible and safe in all locations where people want to walk/wheel and cycle: https://lnkd.in/eYWhJitJ

Excellent Quote, this message is introduced in the Holy Bible!
Today on Labor Day, let’s celebrate more than just hard work — let’s take a moment to honor the deeper meaning behind it. The truth is — labor is service, and service is life. When we give our labor, we’re offering a piece of ourselves, an expression of love in action. Whether you’re guiding others, solving problems, creating something new, caring for others, or building a better future, know that your work is a powerful force that shapes the world around you. True fulfillment comes not just from the tasks we complete, but from the impact we create through our dedication to others. The most alive, driven, and fulfilled people are those who lead lives of contribution and service to something greater than themselves. Your labor isn’t just a job; it’s a gift, a legacy that leaves a lasting ripple of positive change. Let’s take a moment to reflect: How can you bring more purpose and joy into your work? How does your labor positively impact others, your community, your family, and the world around you? Enjoy the holiday weekend, and thank you for your countless wonderful contributions to making our world a brighter place! 🙏🏼❤️

Another Labor Day has passed and it is important to understand the deeper purpose behind it. Labor isn’t merely about what we do—it's about the service we provide and the positive impact we create in the world. 🌍 When we approach our work as an act of service, we offer more than just our time and skills. We contribute to something greater than ourselves. Whether you’re solving complex problems, caring for others, or building something new, your work has the power to shape lives and communities. Take the following examples for instance: - Teachers don’t just impart knowledge; they shape the future by inspiring and guiding the next generation. Each lesson they deliver is a step toward a brighter tomorrow. 📚 - Healthcare Workers do more than provide medical care—they offer hope and comfort in times of need, making a profound difference in the lives of patients and their families. 🩺 - Entrepreneurs aren’t just building businesses; they’re creating opportunities, driving innovation, and contributing to economic growth that benefits society as a whole. 🚀 Now let’s take the a level and reflect on a Parable, shall we? In a town long ago, three stonecutters were asked what they were doing. The first said, “I’m cutting stones.” The second replied, “I’m building a wall.” But the third looked up with pride and said, “I’m constructing a cathedral that will stand for generations.” The third stonecutter understood that his labor was not just about the task at hand, but about contributing to something lasting and meaningful. His work was a service to the future, a legacy that would inspire and endure. Now, how do you Infuse Purpose into Your Work: 1. See the Bigger Picture: Understand how your daily tasks contribute to a larger purpose. This mindset can transform routine work into something deeply meaningful. 2. Lead with Impact: Consider how your work serves others. Whether it’s your team, customers, or community, focus on the positive impact you’re creating. 3. Create a Lasting Legacy: Think about the legacy you want your work to leave behind. Align your efforts with that vision to ensure your labor has a lasting impact. Which is your Call to Action? As this Labor Day passes by, take time to reflect on how you can bring more purpose and joy into your work. Ask yourself: How does my labor positively impact those around me? How can I serve others through what I do? Let this reflection guide you in making every task an opportunity to contribute to something greater. Your work is more than just a job—it’s a gift, a legacy that leaves a lasting positive change in the world, truly making it a brighter place 🙏🏼✨ #LaborDay #PurposeDrivenWork #ServiceToOthers #LegacyBuilding #ImpactAndInspire Thank you credits Tony Robbins for his timeless inspiration and motivation. Humanoid Robots are now making robots. Digit the Humanoid Robot - The First Commercial Deployment of a Humanoid Robot making New Robots. While humanoid robots have been used in other contexts before, RoboFab is the first dedicated factory for mass-producing robots for commercial use. Agility Robotics has recently deployed its humanoid robot, Digit, in a commercial setting at its new factory in Salem, Oregon. This marks the first time a humanoid robot is used in a commercial operation, where Digit will handle tasks such as moving, loading, and unloading totes. The factory, named RoboFab, is designed to produce over 10,000 robots annually and aims to address workforce challenges like injuries and high turnover. This deployment represents a significant step in the mass production and application of humanoid robots in industrial settings. On June 5, 2024 Digit completed it's first day of work for GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO) as part of regular operations. This is the result of a multi-year agreement between GXO and Agility Robotics to begin deploying Digit in GXO’s logistics operations. This agreement, which follows a proof-of-concept pilot in late 2023, is both the industry’s first formal commercial deployment of humanoid robots and first Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) deployment of humanoid robots. My Take The deployment of Agility Robotics' humanoid robot, Digit, at RoboFab in Salem, Oregon, represents a groundbreaking moment in robotics. As the first commercial use of a humanoid robot for mass-producing other robots, this initiative addresses workforce challenges like injuries, high turnover and labor shortages.
