Sepsis is when the sentinel system goes crazy and gives the order to attack everywhere with all force. For example, it passes bleach or similar products. This strips all small vessels. In addition he sees its own damages as an agression and attack more deeply. As a result, all the organs fail. 🔥SEPSIS causes nearly as much death than CANCER or CARDIOVASCULAR diseases ( 20% of world 🌍 🌎 mortality ☠️, WHO) . 🔥In countries with large access to intensive care (ICU), SEPSIS have also a hudge cost up to 0.5% of US GDP in these countries. Despite ICU care the mortality of SEPSIS remain between 20 to 50% depending on its gravity. Recovering is harmful, long and the risk of sequels high. It causes also great suffering to families and nearby. 🔥All of these is to be considered outside pandemic 😷. The risk is increasing due to global warming and geopolitical context) SEPSIS A- is: - difficult to early diagnose in the absence of biological marker. - did not have currently specific treatment B- In nature, SEPSIS is the terminal phase of an infection. 💡 Last week, we shared an alternative way to don the calf, and this week we're focusing on the thigh! Some patients have found that placing the body of the garment on top, with the straps underneath, helps the wrap stay up on the leg longer. Just a quick tip: Keep an eye out for gaps. Don’t be a sheep 🐏 We love fitting in. Its hardwired in our brains to do so. Prof Steve Peters says in his book ‘The Chimp Paradox’ that our chimp brain (a massive oversimplification to allow the readers to follow the narrative, without being baffled by the neuroanatomy of the amygdala and substantia nigra etc) wants us to always be in a Troupe. It’s why all teenage lads dress the same and hang out together. Safety in numbers. If you haven’t got black on black Air Max you don’t fit in. The troupe mentality lasts throughout your life unless you decide to change it. But being different can turn the other chimps against you. And that feels uncomfortable. In fact the fear of ‘what they might think’ is often enough to stop people doing anything different in the first place! Imagine that - not even trying something because your imagination tells you someone might not like it. Otherwise known as small mindedness. This is one of the reasons it is called the chimp ‘paradox’. The very part of your brain there to protect you (keeping you safe in the troupe) actually holds you back from bettering yourself.
