🚀 Maximizing Success on Amazon Prime Day: Strategies for Sellers and Advertisers 🚀 Amazon Prime Day is not only a pivotal event for driving immediate sales but also a strategic opportunity for long-term brand building. With millions of shoppers flocking to Amazon, it’s a prime (pun intended!) time to increase visibility, attract new customers, and strengthen your brand’s presence. Customers are not just making purchases; they are also browsing extensively, comparing products, and discovering new brands. This browsing behavior creates a unique chance for brands to capture interest and loyalty that extends beyond the event itself. Here are some key points to remember: - Be a strong participant during the event - Protect market share - Maintain margin - Promote products especially those with healthy inventory positions - Test and learn for upcoming promotional events and holiday season Promotional Strategies: 📌 Leverage All Offer Types on Amazon: Utilize Lightning Deals, Best Deals, Prime Exclusive Deals, and Coupons. 📌 Off-Amazon Opportunities: Promote through social media and affiliate marketing. 📌 Focus on the right products: Prioritize products with strong BSR, healthy margins, and good inventory positions. Advertising Strategies: 📌 Do Not Go Out of Budget - Ensure campaigns stay within budget. - Plan on spending 2-3x from a standard day, 3-4x for Lightning Deals, Prime Exclusive Deals, or 4-8x for Best Deals. 📌 Avoid Increased CPCs - Do not chase bids to compete with competitors. - Historically, CPCs do not increase in aggregate during Prime Day, except when aggressively chasing top search placements or deal keywords. 📌 No New Campaigns to Chase Deal Keywords - Focus on supporting existing deals with current campaigns. Protect your margin! 📌 Target top-of-funnel and NTB customers using Amazon DSP/AMC - Reach a wider audience and increase brand awareness. Here’s a great quote from one of our clients - “We win on Prime Day with competitive pricing and deals supported by targeted advertising. The only way to lose is if TaCOS is too high!” Contact us to see how you can win with DemandHelm! ✨ Happy Amazon Prime Day! ✨ Here is a list of check-ins brands should make throughout the day to ensure the best performance. ✅ Order quantity maximums - Even though we set maximums, they reset on the backend. Continue to add products to cart to make sure the maximums are set to avoid large troughs post-deal. ✅ Deal suppressions - Audit deals thoughout the day to make sure the Prime Day badging is live on all listings including the deal landing page ✅ Inventory - Deep discounts can cause OOS that’s why I like to use autogen ads for DSP and you can easily swap products in and out of Sponsored Brand campaigns. ✅ Campaign Budgets - Dayparting is key! Schedule check-ins either your agency throughout the day for recaps on spend and performance. With higher bids comes higher risk to run out of budget early on. Leave your Prime Day check list items in the comments👇 Wishing you all the best on Day #2! #PrimeDay2024 #eCommerce #PrimeDaySuccess #eCommerceTips #OnlineSelling #DigitalMarketing #AmazonSellers

Get Ready: Prime Big Deal Days are back in October It’s back! Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days will return October 8th-9th, the first big sales event of the autumn period and lead up to (whisper it) Christmas. Beginning October 8th at 12:00 a.m. BST, Prime members will receive exclusive early access to seasonal shopping, featuring exciting deals on top brands, seasonal items, home essentials, popular toys, and more. This year, brands are gearing up for intense competition and significant discounts across core product ranges, driven by strong demand for savings despite high interest rates and elevated prices. As cost-per-click (CPC) inflation spikes during event days, companies will need to carefully strategise ad spend, with a growing focus on reach and video formats like Prime Video Ads, supported by Amazon’s advanced marketing tools such as Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC). Our analysis shows that engaging shoppers early in the lead-up period is crucial for advertising effectiveness, while smart use of technology like AMC audiences and bidding rules will be key to success.

📢 Attention Amazon Sellers! Prime Day is coming, and if you use Sponsored Products ads with dynamic bids - up and down, there's an important update! 🚨 From the start of Prime Day until it ends, Amazon will temporarily increase the bid adjustment for "rest of search" and "product page placements" to 100% (up from 50%). This means your $1 bid could rise to $2. 💰 So if you notice a surge in bids, you know where to look. Here are a few quick Prime Day tips: - Start advertising on Amazon at least 2 weeks before the event (this is basically now!) 75% of shoppers are very likely to buy a product during Prime Day that they have already discovered in the lead-up to the event. - Review your stock and ensure deliveries will be able to get out on time. Set up FBM as a fallback option. - Check your listings. Are they optimized for mobile? Do they really show your products in their best light? Roll up your sleeves and only settle with the best! #amazon #primeday2024 #amazonads

Prime Day Bid Update 📢 Amazon has increased the maximum bids adjustments to 100% for Prime Day. Amazon is implementing a significant change to its advertising system for the upcoming Prime Day event, scheduled for July 16-17, by temporarily increasing bid adjustments for certain ad placements. For advertisers using the "dynamic bids - up and down" strategy, the maximum bid adjustment will rise from 50% to 100% for ads on "rest of search" or product pages. This change will be effective throughout Prime Day. This potentially could lead to higher CPCs as advertisers may push the bids and placement multipliers to gain more and more visibility during the Prime Day Event. Potential impact, may be budget being utilized early and advertising costs to shoot up. Once the Prime Day Event is concluded, the bidding system will go back to its earlier model.
