It can take up to 4-5 years to act on a hearing loss. Why is that? Because of the stigma of being hearing impaired and using a hearing device. Louise Waldenby wants to help break that taboo. Her device helps her stay active by climbing and riding her bike, while also being able to live a healthy social life. “I often hear that people are surprised that I’m a user of hearing aids because I hear so well,” she says. At Demant, we are proud to help Louise live the life she wants to live. #lifechanginghearinghealth

#WorldHearingDay2024 Globally, over 80% of ear and hearing care needs remain unmet. This year's World Hearing Day is a call to change our mindsets on ear and hearing care. Societal misconceptions and stigmatization remain factors that limit efforts for preventing and addressing hearing loss. If we are to have an improvement in access and mitigation of the costs associated with ear and hearing, we need to change our mindsets first. #KaaFitiInTheCity #EarandHearingCare #Changingmindsets

When was the last time you had a hearing assessment? Did you know that, according to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, only 2 in 10 adults have had a hearing test in the past 5 years? This Hearing Health Awareness Month, we're emphasizing the importance of regular tests and reminding our community not to overlook their hearing health. Other aspects of our health - such as eyesight, dental and general physical health - are taken seriously, and rightfully so, so let's not overlook our hearing health either. If you're overdue an assessment, get in touch! 💙 https://lnkd.in/e8Vz7uzq #HearingHealthAwarenessMonth #MagnoliaHearing #OverdueHearingAssessment
