❗ What are fan-assisted fireplaces like? How do these fans work? These stoves use a fan to distribute the heat generated by the fire more efficiently throughout the room. In the case of our fan stoves, they are inserts. Our models are equipped with 170 m3/h tangential fans. The fan draws cold air from the bottom of the appliance. This air flow surrounds the stove and heats up, expelling the hot air. The fan has a thermostat to regulate its temperature. This prevents overheating. This thermostat starts the fan automatically at 50ºC and above. In the case of our inserts with fan, they have a switch with three positions. This allows you to regulate the flow of hot air coming out of the stove: 👉🏼 In position 0 the fan is off, but if the temperature reaches 50ºC, the thermostat makes the fan start and is in position I speed. 👉🏼 In position I, the fan is at 60% of maximum speed. 👉🏼 In position II, the fan is at maximum speed. 👀 It is important that the fan is always connected to the mains, to prevent it from breaking down due to overheating. In these inserts the way of transmitting heat is twofold. On the one hand, through the surface of the glass-ceramic glass that take advantage of the heat of radiation. On the other hand, there is the heat generated in the walls of the appliance that we can recover by making an optimal installation, leaving space around the insert and creating air currents that surround it, thus taking advantage of convection heat. This insert must be placed in a place that supports its weight. In addition, everything around it should be non-combustible material and well insulated. #stove #woodstove #chimney #fireplace #inserts

💨 Is it mandatory to connect the outside air intake on Ecodesing stoves? The outside air intake is a duct that allows clean air to enter the stove from outside the house. This air intake is connected directly to the stove. In addition, it should be placed in a strategic position, allowing the air flow necessary for the correct operation of the appliance to enter. 👉🏼 The main function of the outside air intake is to ensure the efficient and safe combustion of wood. By providing fresh air to the stove from the outside, an adequate amount of oxygen for combustion is ensured. This produces a hotter flame and more complete combustion of the wood. By drawing air from outside, the creation of cold drafts in the room where the stove is located is avoided. Another advantage is that the amount of smoke and particulates released inside the home is reduced. 👀 The answer is that it is not mandatory to connect the outside air intake. However, 👉🏼 it is highly recommended to do so. Connecting it will allow the stove to operate more efficiently and further reduce emissions of particulate and gaseous pollutants. In addition, connecting the air intake helps prevent condensation problems and improves indoor air quality in the home. If your home is passive or energy efficient, connecting the outside air intake is mandatory. #stove #woodstove #ecodesign #fireplace #chimney #mandatory #tips

👀 What to do if my wood stove stops working? Steps to follow If your stove stops working. The first thing you should do is to make some initial checks before contacting a professional. 🫧 Check that the chimney is clean. It is essential to ensure that the air circulates properly to have a good combustion. Therefore, we must make sure that the stove is clean. 🪵 Check that the firewood is dry. Damp firewood will not burn properly and can cause problems in the stove. Be sure to use dry firewood with a moisture content of less than 20% to ensure good combustion. 🍃 Check the air ducts. The air duct is essential to allow air to circulate properly in the stove and to prevent blockages. Be sure to check the air duct for obstructions or damage. Also make sure it is properly adjusted and connected to the stove. In addition, it is critical to follow the installation tips for proper air draft. 👨🏼🔧 Consult a professional. If after following these steps, the stove is still not working, you may need to call a professional to check the problem. A skilled technician will be able to determine the cause of the problem and provide the appropriate solution. Tips to prevent future problems: 👉🏼 Perform proper maintenance. 👉🏼 Use the stove safely. 👉🏼 Clean the chimney regularly. 👉🏼 Use dry firewood. 👉🏼 Make sure the flue is in good condition. 👉🏼 Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and use the stove according to its recommendations. #stove #fireplace #chimney #firewood #clean #works #follow

👉🏼 Open or closed fireplaces? Which is better? ✅ Open fireplaces are those that allow the fire to be seen from the outside. They are more visually appealing and can add a cozy ambiance to the room. However, open fireplaces, as air enters uncontrolled, there is no way to regulate the temperature and allow heat to escape up the chimney, which can be a disadvantage in terms of energy efficiency. In addition, the cost of firewood is much higher than that of closed fireplaces. This is because wood is consumed much faster. ✅ Enclosed fireplaces have an enclosed structure that prevents heat from escaping up the chimney. This makes them more energy efficient and can help keep the room heated longer. However, because the fire is not visible from the outside, closed fireplaces do not have the same visual appeal as open fireplaces, but they are safer and collect less dirt. They also have greater durability, i.e., they suffer less wear and tear. Another point in favor of closed fireplaces is that they have controls that allow regulating the amount of air that enters the chimney, which facilitates the control of the fire and allows adjusting the intensity of the flames. #woodstoves #stoves #chimney #winter #invierno #estufa

💨 How to make a chimney pull well? If the chimney does not work properly, we find ourselves with a multitude of problems, as the smoke is present in the room where the chimney is located. Smoke can be very harmful, both for the appliance and for us and our health. ✅ Check the flues and the smoke outlet. It is important to go through walls or partitions with 45° elbows. In addition, it is essential to avoid horizontal sections and 90º elbows. We recommend that the pipes installed outside should be double-walled to avoid condensation problems that result in soot falling through the pipe joints and possible obstructions. ✅ Check the outside of the stove for obstructions. External exits should be at least 1 metre above the highest part of the roof. If there is an obstacle within a radius of 5 metres around your home (trees, neighbour’s chimneys, buildings, etc.), the smoke outlet must be at least 1 metre beyond this obstacle. ✅ Smoke extractor. A constantly smoking chimney implies a risk of intoxication, so we must know how to act. ✅ Check the maintenance and cleaning of the chimney. If you suffer from smoke nuisance, the reason may be due to inadequate cleaning and maintenance. All these types of appliances should have a minimum cleaning after each use. It is important to remove ashes and soot. #fireplace #winter #stove #woodstove #wood #chimney #check #tips #denia #deniastoves

🪟 The importance of proper home ventilation when you have a wood stove 👉🏼 Why is good ventilation important? Lack of proper ventilation can have serious consequences for health, safety and for the proper functioning of the appliance. The three most important reasons why good ventilation is essential are: health, safety of the house and for efficient maintenance of the stove. 🧑🏼 Indoor air can accumulate carbon monoxide, particulates and other contaminants if not properly ventilated. These pollutants can be harmful to health. In addition, lack of ventilation can also promote moisture buildup, which can promote the growth of mold, mildew and other contaminants. 🔐 The accumulation of particulates and other contaminants can increase the risk of fires. 🔥 Good ventilation allows fresh air to enter the home and old, polluted air to escape. This not only improves indoor air quality, but also maintains the efficiency of the wood stove. If the indoor air is polluted, the wood stove will have to work harder to heat the house and will consume more wood. 👉🏼 To ensure proper ventilation, we recommend that you install exhaust fans and ventilators in the kitchen, bathroom and any other room where the stove is used. Also, keep doors and windows open to help air circulation. Regular maintenance of the appliance is essential. You can install carbon monoxide alarms. Do you have any questions?
