In a world where “Buy less, buy better” has become a trendy mantra, it seems we’re facing a paradox in our shopping habits. As The Guardian points out in the article below: “We don’t tend to practice what we preach. The less we go to the shops, the more we shop.” And as close to 50% of all online clothing returns cannot be resold and end up in a landfill site, it’s a reminder that true sustainability involves not just the type of products we buy, but also the frequency and mode of our shopping. #Community #Environment #SustainableLiving #ShopLocal #ConsciousConsumerism

‘We’ all love convenience shopping don’t we?🫵🏽 Well it is fueling overconsumption 🤷🏾♀️ In our fast-paced world, convenience is king. With just a few taps on our phones, we can have the latest fashion trends delivered to our doorsteps in record time. But at what cost?! While convenience shopping offers undeniable perks—accessibility, speed, and endless options—it's also driving an alarming increase in fashion over-consumption. The ease of buying has made it simple to fill our closets with items we might wear once or twice before discarding them. This "buy now, think later" mentality is contributing to a throwaway culture that's unsustainable for our planet💔 As we embrace the benefits of technology in fashion, it's crucial to balance convenience with conscious consumption. Before clicking "buy," let's ask ourselves: 📌Do I really need this? 📌Can I make use of what I already own? 📌Could I invest in something more durable and sustainable? It's time to rethink our shopping habits and prioritize quality over quantity. By doing so, we can enjoy the convenience of modern shopping without compromising our responsibility to the planet🤗 What are you doing to change your shopping habits? #SustainableFashion #ConsciousConsumption #MindfulShopping

What's something you do differently today than you did 3+ years ago? Because time is so precious to all of us, we continue to look for ways to save it—one way is online browsing, which often turns into online shopping! I browse when I have the time when it's convenient for my schedule, and then strive to support local retail by choosing store pickup when I can—let's be honest it then also gives me instant gratification! When things do need to be delivered, I agree 100% with what Nicole Hoffman said in the article below. Delivery updates provide me, as the shopper, with a sense of control and comfort and allow me to plan my schedule because purchasing furniture online is not the same as buying a pair of shoes. #tuesdaytidbit #retailknowledge #onlineshopping #homefurnishings #makeiteasy #customerjourneyiskey #ecommerce #shoppinghabits
