Dental professionals are always talking about how important flossing is, but let's face it, it's not always easy. It can be frustrating for those with limited dexterity, tight spaces between teeth or sensitive gums. Or sometimes it's just hard to manoeuvre the floss, especially when you're trying to reach the molars. Fortunately, traditional floss is not the only way to clean between your teeth! Have you already tried using interdental brushes? These tiny brushes, with soft bristles on a thin wire, are designed to comfortably clean between teeth, removing plaque and food particles that your toothbrush misses. We love it because it's a practical solution that's really easy to use, even in tight spaces, and it's also suitable for braces and implants. If you are thinking of trying it, here are a few tips: ➡ Start with the right size: Choose an interdental brush that fits comfortably between your teeth without forcing. We have 6 different sizes to choose from! ➡ Gentle technique: Gently slide the brush back and forth to ensure it reaches all areas between teeth and along the gum line. ➡ Consistency is key: Incorporate interdental brushing into your daily oral care routine for maximum effectiveness. After all, we told you that not brushing between your teeth is like leaving 12 teeth unbrushed - and nobody wants that! Brush your teeth twice a day with a soft-bristled brush. The size and shape of your brush should fit your mouth allowing you to reach all areas easily. Replace your toothbrush every three or four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed. A worn toothbrush won’t do a good job of cleaning your teeth. #dental_hygine_Oral_hygine_tips #Dental_Hyginiest🦷

Here's a comparison of Hawley's retainer, fixed retainer, and vacuum-formed retainer: *Hawley's Retainer* 1. A removable retainer made of acrylic and wire 2. Wire clasps grip teeth, acrylic plate covers palate or tongue side 3. Adjustable and repairable 4. Can be used for both upper and lower teeth 5. More noticeable than other retainers *Fixed Retainer (Bonded Retainer)* 1. A thin wire bonded to the back of teeth 2. Typically used for lower front teeth 3. Permanent, but can be removed by an orthodontist 4. Less noticeable than Hawley's retainer 5. Requires regular cleaning to prevent plaque buildup *Vacuum-Formed Retainer (Essix Retainer)* 1. A clear, removable retainer made of plastic 2. Covers entire arch, similar to aligners 3. Less noticeable than Hawley's retainer 4. Easier to clean than Hawley's retainer 5. May not be suitable for teeth with large fillings or bonding Considerations: - Hawley's retainers are more versatile and adjustable but more noticeable. - Fixed retainers are less noticeable but require regular cleaning and can be difficult to repair. - Vacuum-formed retainers are aesthetically pleasing but may not be suitable for all teeth and can be prone to cracking. Your orthodontist will recommend the best retainer option based on your specific needs and treatment goals.

Not All Restorations Are Created Equal: A Case of Single-Tooth Composite We understand the intricacies of achieving natural-looking smiles, especially with single-tooth composite restorations! These procedures, classified as class 4 restorations, require a meticulous eye for detail. Why the Challenge? Unlike porcelain veneers, composites demand a nuanced approach to shade matching. We meticulously evaluate the enamel, dentin, and incisal third of the tooth (hue, value, and chroma) to ensure a seamless blend. This level of precision is crucial for a truly undetectable restoration. The Benefits of Composite Expertise Preserves the Tooth: Composite restorations often save the tooth from a root canal by addressing minor to moderate damage. Natural Aesthetics: When done right, composites mimic the natural tooth structure, delivering a beautiful and undetectable result. Orthodontist Clear Aligners Expert in Aligner planning- Maestro, Onyx, dentOne and Meditt software SME- Orthodontics
Hi, today i am going to discuss about long term stability after aligner treatment. Being an aligner expert i know what all things should be considered during planning - 1. Orthodontic movement of the teeth outside the neutral zone pushes them into an unbalanced zone, with consequent relapse. 2. The shape of the mandibular arch should be respected in the planning and implementation of treatment because changes in arch shape tend to relapse into the original shape in the long term. 3. Any changes in the lower intercanine distance are also very prone to relapse. 4. The quality of articulation and intercuspation is also very important for long term stability. 5. Incisor shape can also be a source of posttreatment stability. In triangular shaped incisor, IPR provides more stable contact between the incisors. #Aligner

Dental Veneers in Rockville MD One of the greatest things we experience at StarBrite Dental is watching a patient with imperfect teeth go from being a person who is afraid to smile to being a person who can’t seem to stop smiling. Among the procedures we use in helping people make that transformation is the application of veneers. If the word sounds familiar, that’s because it is. Have you ever had a piece of furniture that featured a wood veneer? A dental veneer works on pretty much the same principle. Where a wood veneer puts a facing of quality, nicely finished wood over lesser quality wood or even particle board, a dental veneer puts a well-formed, healthy-looking surface on a malformed, broken, badly discolored or other imperfect tooth condition. That’s where the comparison to wood veneers ends, by the way, since furniture veneers aren’t made of lab-engineered, medical grade materials. Let’s move on! Research says that Ceramic brackets tend to break more after their expiry year.. Mostly ceramic brackets have a longetivety of 4 years. *for example your seller send you a bracket kit which is 3 years old and the orthodontic treatment will be for minimum of 1 year so by the time you will need the hooks for space closure ,,, the brackets will be beyond the expiry date Nd it will be more prone to breakage… So always try to buy from sellers who can vouch it’s newly manufactured or atleast don’t buy brackets which is more than 2 years old ,,, Just because its clearance sale,, or you are getting it cheaper ,,, be ware it can be a reason of headache later,,, So be smart and choose well while buying ceramic brackets,,, #brackets #dental #treatment #sale #clearance #reels #trending #following #braces #lovecareer #career #goals #smart
