Shared Parking Solutions for the Bagnell Dam Strip are the future. Over demand for parking at Lake Ozark’s iconic business district has stifled existing business potential, limited expansion and prevented new business growth. On a single undeveloped parcel just West of #Bagnelldam, a public-private partnership could increase public parking on the #bagnelldamstrip by 300 parking spaces equivalent to 30% of all existing parking. As the City of Lake Ozark contiunes to encourage redevelopment we must consider the right mix of retail, office and residential uses that maximize the parking potential along the Strip. Public Parking is consequential to tourism, it should be easily accessed and plentiful. The “Port Bagnell” building shown reflects a new building design by #Midwestcoast that would host retail, office and residential uses with a creative and simple shared parking design. Engineered to provide ingress on and off of Bagnell Dam Blvd. as well as a secondary entrance onto Valley Rd. This unique design provides a parameter circulation ramp for multiple levels of below grade parking. The #cityoflakeozark will continue to promote smart Economic Development opportunities that strengthen existing businesses and promote new investment. Removing hurdles and providing solutions for our community and those that love to recreate here. #ecodevo #verticaldevelopment #parkinggarage #publicprivatepartnerships #bagnelldamstrip #cityoflakeozark #lakeozarkmayor #midwestcoast #explorelakeozark

Public parking is very much needed. In the middle of the strip as well. Right next to Casa and across the street from Tuckers would be huge. Central location next to where most of the patrons are. Next key would be finding a resort / conference center. This would provide continual business during the week all year round. I was trying to visualize where Port Bagnell would be and where the property is for the additional parking. Is this below the dam? Either way the more parking we can get, it would entice other players / businesses to consider the strip a viable place to come.

Just wanted to share a quick thought on why adding more parking spaces could be a game-changer for all of us on the strip. More parking means making it easier for folks to swing by, which can lead to more foot traffic and, ultimately, more business for everyone. Plus, it makes our area look more inviting and customer-friendly. When people don’t have to stress about parking, they’re likely to stick around longer and explore more of what we have to offer. Let’s make our strip the place to be – for customers and businesses alike!

I Absolutely agree! Shared parking solutions are a game-changer for the Bagnell Dam Strip, addressing the issue of parking demand can increase business growth and enhance the overall visitor experience. Ensuring ample, accessible parking is indeed crucial for tourism and local businesses to thrive. Kudos to the City of Lake Ozark for proactively promoting smart economic development and community enhancement initiatives!

Mayor I think this development is spot on for what is needed in that area. We must continue to strive to make the Lake a year round destination place of interest. Let’s make it happen. Let me know how we can help?

Makes total sense. Part of the strip is stuck in bygone days. Don’t get me wrong I thoroughly enjoyed the bumper cars and skee ball but it is past due to upgraded ingress and egress along with more parking.

I think it's time for something new to the strip area. Housing, hospitality, mixed use. A NEW VIBE IS NEEDED TO FIX DECAY. This would be a compliment to the existing businesses

Right on point with this Mayor. This will make for not just better access and flow but also a safer, more secure environment for businesses to thrive.

What are you guys doing for Access and revenue controls? Make the parking an asset vs just an amenity.
