Southwest Airlines, you got some 'splaining to do 😱 As a long time A-List Preferred member and Companion pass holder, I'm worried. The open seating policy is one of the things that made Southwest different, and better! I'm not sure who these 80% are, but I certainly have never been surveyed. If you're going to operate just like the other airlines, you're going to have to compete on everything they do (and frankly there are so many things other airlines do better). I'm pretty exclusive to Southwest and Delta Air Lines and I can't help but think Delta is licking their chops with the thought of picking up thousands of disgruntled Rapid Rewards members Please explain the plan for preferred seating options for A-List and Companion Pass flyers. I don't want to take my 50+ flights a year somewhere else, but if I must, I must. #southwest #airlines #frequentflyer #businesstravel #rapidrewards #customerservice
We’re continually evolving to meet the needs of our Customers. That’s why we’re excited to announce some big changes designed to enhance your Customer Experience—still delivered with our same Southwest Heart: ✅ Assigned seating (expected to become bookable in 2025) ✅ Premium seating options (expected to become bookable in 2025) ✅ Red-eye flights (now available for booking on https://swa.is/3YkeYpw!) The research is clear and indicates that more than 80% of Southwest Customers prefer an assigned seat. These changes come as a part of our ongoing commitment to enhance the Customer experience, including faster WiFi, new in-seat power, larger overhead bins, and more comfortable seats. For now, it's business as usual - we're working hard to meet Customer expectations and expect seating changes to become bookable in 2025. We look forward to welcoming you onboard with the same Southwest Hospitality that you know and love. Learn more about these upcoming changes: https://swa.is/4cVnAY2
