As we commemorate Juneteenth and reflect on the foundational ideals of freedom in our nation, it is essential to learn and listen to educators and community leaders. Yesterday, our teams gathered both in person and virtually to hear from Rev. Dr. M. Keith McDaniel and to honor Dr. Kay Woodward, Converse University's first woman of color faculty member. The event was coordinated by our African American Leadership Group BRG. Dr. McDaniel delivered a powerful message emphasizing the significance of “honoring the past, celebrating progress, and advancing the promise of freedom for all.” He underscored our collective capacity to drive meaningful change. One key point Dr. McDaniel expressed that inspired us all: "America must no longer view itself as perpetually adolescent. Our nation is striving to mature and evolve into a better version of itself. However, this better version is not a relic of the past—it awaits us in the future." Thank you to our speakers for their gifts to our team. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay

Presidents' Day reminds us of leaders like Barack Obama, a pivotal figure in both American history and Black History Month. His presidency continues to inspire and remind us of the importance of celebrating the contributions of Black Americans throughout history. “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. Executive Inclusion & Emotional Resilience Coach | I empower high-impact, high-integrity leaders to master inclusive leadership skills and build cultures of belonging | IDI Certified | DEI Strategist | Speaker
Senior Executive VP of Columbia University. Can't bring himself to answer "yes". The question? --> Are Palestinians human? Higher education has always been rcst and Islamophobic. There's a reason why they can never take a stand on the right side of history. Why Black leaders and faculty are pushed out. Those hoods are showing now. Oh, and the University has a Taskforce for Antisemitism, but none for anti-Islamophobia. Me wonders why??🤔 Reading the taskforce's First Set of Recommendations, seems like they don't understand the purpose of a protest. Hope the students do not follow any of those recommendations. And the thing is, this dude probably calls himself "an inclusive leader". Uff. #highereducation #executivecoaching #integrity #leadership #holocaust

"The most important part of building an organization is casting a vision that people can follow. A lack of vision signals a lack of leadership." Jerry Falwell’s Moral Majority was an organization built off the vision of one man that changed a generation. The lessons we can learn from this organization are incredibly valuable to our work as conservatives today. You can read more in my inaugural piece for American Reformer: https://lnkd.in/dPF9fiR9

PM Ready celebrated Black History Month by hosting an inspiring virtual panel, "Project Leadership Insights from African American Executives" on February 27, featuring Chuck Wallington, Ph.D. and Russell Sandidge. These accomplished leaders candidly shared their journeys from student to executive leader, highlighting the importance of diversity in executive leadership across industries. During the panel, Chuck Wallington, Ph.D. emphasized the critical role of mentors, sponsors, role models, coaches, and allies in every leader's growth and success. Russell Sandidge, a Distinguished Toastmaster, encouraged young individuals to master English and public speaking. PM Ready's ambassador, Germaine Essen, moderated the panel with great success. Congratulations, Germaine! To learn more about African American executive leadership, check out Chuck Wallington, Ph.D.'s new book, "A Seat at the C-Suite Table: Insights from the Leadership Journeys of African American Executives." This powerful book features stories from 30 African American male executives across 12 industries, providing confidence and power to all readers. This panel reminded us that Black people's history and contributions should be recognized and celebrated every day, not just during one month of the year. PM Ready looks forward to working with all of you to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
