New Publication!! I am thrilled to share with you all my MPH research that is HOT OFF the press and published in LGBT Health. My paper examined differences in patient-centered care outcomes for sexual minority (LGB+) Veterans who utilize VHA primary care services. We found that LGB+ Veterans were up to 29% less likely to report positive healthcare experiences across several measures of quality of care metrics. We discuss the need for improved cultural competency education which underscores recognizing unique health care needs and/or social determinants of health that are prevalent among the LGBTQ+ communities.
