I just did a hit on the brand new Employer XChange podcast, hosted by Anthony J. Interlandi & Daniel Seiden of Monarch Law CT. These guys have a fun concept for their show, which is, effectively, that, in addition to a traditional guest interview, they have folks share a work story & assess any employment law issues that may be involved. And, like Michael Jordan in 'The Last Dance' documentary: I took that personally. So, I came in hot with a completely buckwild story, that actually happened to me, at the dawn of time, when I was still practicing law. What employment law issues were involved, you might be asking yourself? The better question is: What employment law issues were NOT involved. You can find out, below - where you will also see a phenomenal 'Talking Heads' pun, which is worth the click on its own:

In our podcast's 12th episode, we delve into the topic of extra-contractual liability in the employment relationship with Kato Aerts, our podcast host and Employment Partner, and Liesbet Claessen, Associate in our Employment team. This is currently a hot topic due to the recent publication and upcoming entry into force of the new Book 6 of the Civil Code, which impacts almost all branches of law including employment law. During this episode we will explain the impact of Book 6 on the potential extra-contractual liability of employees. As this may seem a technical and complex topic at first, we will use an example situation to illustrate the practical application. Whether you're an HR professional, or a manager, this episode offers valuable guidance on navigating the potential liability of employees if their actions cause damage to a third party. Tune in to gain practical insights for learning key items in this respect. Discover the episode and subscribe to future ones: https://lnkd.in/eiAEvhwM 🗓️ Mark your calendars to stay ahead with our bi-weekly episodes.
