It was another successful day of celebration! We celebrated our safety milestone at the Sandy Hill Road Facility with an amazing lunch from Castañeda's food truck.

Hygienic repairs and maintenance work - are a vital part of what we do to ensure our clients and their facilities run smoothly! I sometimes refer to our crews as weekend warriors because weekends or late shifts are the only time our food and beverage clients are shut down long enough to complete concrete and floor repairs. Saturday mornings are go time! It's up to us and our efficiency in getting it all done in time for the plant to resume operations first thing Monday morning. I wanted to share this photo and commend our Eurocrete BC team for going that extra mile for our clients by working late yesterday hoarding off a repair area for this weekends work. For those of you outside of Food and Beverage I have to say that I have noticed positive changes in the last few years with Good Manufacturing Practices and I applaud our clients for taking the necessary steps to ensure work is done safely and hygienically. The attached photo is of our guys completing hoarding to their work area. Great job guys!

Although companies have sanitation teams in place there is still a need for daily housekeeping rules for ALL staff. A few examples are:
*Staff should clean up behind themselves. *Throw out empty containers upon completion vs leaving on the counter/tables.
*Damaged items should be reported to management or sanitation team immediately to avoid spreading from area to area.
*No personal food in work areas.
This helps to prevent bugs, rodents and unnecessary waste. And is also a safety measure. Think “cost savings” to the company.
