What makes the Nursey Foundation unique? At The Nursey Foundation, we recognize that many nonprofits possess incredible missions but lack the resources, knowledge, and support necessary to maintain sustainability and long-term success. Identifying this gap in the market for nonprofit support, we have made it a cornerstone of our outreach mission to give back to the community. Our Growth Optimization (GO) Program exemplifies this commitment, offering financial support and strategic guidance through strategy sessions to other nonprofits at no cost. One of the key pillars of our GO Program is to provide invaluable guidance from our four experienced founders, who offer their extensive expertise without a fee. This support enables nonprofits to operate more effectively, focusing less on day-to-day operations, growth, and finances, and more on fulfilling their mission. By bridging this gap, we empower nonprofits to thrive and make a more significant impact in their communities, amplifying the collective efforts towards positive social change.

👋 Did you miss our recent webinar examining the data behind #funding #strategy for large US #nonprofits? Watch the event on demand now! We welcome any feedback or thoughts you have.
Last week I participated in a webinar with The Bridgespan Group where I'm certain that I learned more than I imparted! 😆 The topic was "How US Nonprofits Get Really Big", and the key insight was to focus on concentration of revenue sources, not diversification. Check out the article, the funding categories and the webinar: https://lnkd.in/e3XJXurg And thank you, Ali Kelley (Hoxie) Naomi Senbet Larry Yu Jen Driggs and Matthew Forti!

❓ Did you know that 63% of our staff provide board or advisory services to at least one other nonprofit or governmental organization, ultimately supporting over 30 local, regional, and national entities? And that's just one way that we build capacity in the nonprofit ecosystem. We also increase individual, organizational, and community capacity by building connections across our programs and with external partners. In 2023, we: ➡️ Supported 374 small businesses. ➡️ Organized or attended 272 community building events. ➡️ Formed or maintained 100 partnerships. ➡️ Completed 1,710 hours in staff training and volunteer efforts. Wow this data from Instrumentl is an eye opener for nonprofits seeking funds in the Mid-Atlantic area. Both Pennsylvania and Maryland ranked in the bottom 5 states for funding opportunities while California leads the way with funding opportunities for nonprofits. Granted these figures were evaluated in 2021 & 2022, however I have not seen much shifting on award amounts to indicate these figures aren't still relevant for today's funding allocations.
