Cars Are Made Up Of Approximately 30,000 Parts! There are so many different parts in a car, it is almost impossible for the average car owner to know all of them. That's why it is so important to hire a knowledgeable technician to repair your car when there is a problem. You might know of a few of the more common auto parts such as the battery, engine, headlights, brake pads, and more. But there are hundreds of parts you may have never even heard of, like the combination valve, distributor, spacer ring, fuel injector, and more. So, if you ever bring your car in for repair and it takes longer than you'd like it to, remember, your mechanic has to consider every one of those 30,000 parts before he can pinpoint the problem and get it back to you in perfect condition! Here at Denver's Quality Automotive, we strive to get you back on the road as quickly as possible. And, while occasionally, it may take longer than you'd like, we guarantee that it will be done right!

I asked two mechanics the same question today: “My check engine light came on for no apparent reason… everything seems to be working fine… could you do a diagnostic check to see what’s causing it?” Mechanic #1 quickly said, “For $135 an hour I can. And it’s not as simple as just plugging in a diagnostic device—it could take one to four hours.” Mechanic #2 said, “Sure. Can you bring it in Friday? It should only take us a few minutes to figure out what’s causing the light to turn on and we can decide how to proceed from there.” …Guess which mechanic I’m choosing? Not just for this time around… but for all my future time arounds? And I bet if I wiped all of Mechanic #1’s car knowledge and he was in the same boat I was in… he’d choose Mechanic #2, too. When you’re in business… you’re there to do business—I get it. But, when you treat customers like numbers and not people who would like to be treated just like you would if you were in the same situation… I suspect it won’t be long until there won’t be too many “numbers” left for you to do business with. ------ ------ I email 1-minute thoughts like this daily here: https://matthogan.blog/hi

𝗣𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗴𝘂𝗻𝘀 Mark's Mechanics a Repco Authorised Service centre in Townsville aren't shy to ask for help when it comes to getting their customers back on the road. They found out about our phone diagnostics service when booking staff on our training course advertised by our colleagues The Automotive Technician. After an introduction to Diesel Help Australia , Clinton Brett 's experienced voice was the reassurance technician Steph needed at a time of a major decision. Steph was on the right track after finding evidence in the Pico scope test which related to our technical bulletin TB1204 – Holden Colorado won’t start, fault code P0336 crank angle sensor. But removing a gearbox is a massive task, and by talking to a sound voice with the supporting evidence, gave Steph the confidence required to proceed and confirm the fault. Clinton provided his signature training approach helping Steph understand how the system worked on this model and with the aid of Snap-on Tools Australia & New Zealand Shopstream, Clinton was able to view freeze frame data, circling the relationship between engine speed dropout, desired and actual rail pressure. To take the load off, Clinton searched the TAT data base and provided the link of the known good scope pattern to save Steph time searching themselves. Your FREE "code pull" to diagnose a check engine light may rob your wallet. Diagnosing a vehicle can be more complex than simply pulling codes from the car’s onboard diagnostic (OBD) system. While code readers provide helpful error codes, these codes often only point to symptoms, not the root cause of the problem. Many issues have overlapping symptoms so a single code could indicate multiple possible failures. Relying solely on a code pull without further investigation can lead to misdiagnosis, unnecessary repairs, or unresolved issues. Proper diagnostics often require additional tests, mechanical inspections, and a skilled technician's expertise to identify the problem's true source. Join me as I go through some of the basic testing points on a few case scenarios on my recent Arizona's Family segment. Not sure what you need underhood ? -An #EV is hard to service? -An EV requires no #maintenance. -I am afraid of losing my warranty. -As a vehicle mechanic I will lose my job because of #electricvehicles. -You cannot #travel in an EV. -I don't want to waste hours taking my EV to service and get an ICE loaner. (Dear OEMs/vehicle dealers just... NO! stop doing this🤯) --------------------------------------------------------------------- There is a brilliant guy called Matt Cleevely AAE MIMI who has busted all the above myths and it has worked out so well, that he is #hiring again. I've got to service my EV and would love for a specialist to show up at my doorstep and not to search for a ZE Ready workshop. At the beginning not everyone was allowed to touch EVs (that should continue like that, you need 400V high voltage certification to work on an EV). Some dealers take it more or less seriously, the worst I had was a Renault workshop attached to a multi brand car dealer, who looked at the km driven and immediately wanted to change my brake pads. 🚩🚩🚩 I didn't even ask, if he had ever touched an EV, turned around and left. Same guy didn't let me use his air compressor, because he was closing (nearest possibility to inflate tire was 8km away). This garage was literally 2 min walk from where I lived, but I preferred to drive to a garage 75km away, with a good reputation like Renault Girona - Intercargirona. What would make them even better? To understand why Matt services any EV in the entirety of the UK. Dear Automotive Technician, Do not look away from the vehicle while it is being raised (or lowered) on a hoist. Often one side or one end of the hoist can stop or fail, resulting in the vehicle being slanted enough to slip or fall. Take Caution! #SafetyFirst #Hoist #ServiceAdvisor #AutomotiveTechnician #AutomotiveEngineering #AnzenFirst #AutomotiveWorkshop

Your car is a complex machine, and just like an orchestra, every part needs to function perfectly for a smooth ride. But what happens when a key component goes out of tune?
