Hopefully a positive sign. Each of these areas and countries both North and South of the Sahara offers great opportunities for UK companies and for the "markets" themselves to benefit from UK services and expertise, especially in post-harvest, industrialisation, engineering, finance and bio sciences.

Will Jonathan Reynolds appoint a new accreditation body—one that hasn’t faced settlements over fraudulent review processes or ended up with a default judgment first? Trade growth is important, but so is accountability in accreditation.

Thought MPs had a full-time job? Trade envoy is a crucial conduit to external trade for the country and should be held by a top civil servant and therefore be paid accordingly. Far too important to be unpaid and voluntary.

The UK's new Trade Envoy team is a good move to boost exports, attract investment, and drive economic growth globally.

I did miss it yes and again only seeing this 5 days after it was initially posted. I'm curious to know what this collectives 'expertise' actually are in global or even UK trade for that matter. Given the priority is 'growth' I wonder how much understanding of logistics, the UK manufacturing base, the professional services sector and a raft of other things that we can easily market has. Do any of them know for example that London has consistently ranked #1 for Green Finance? That we maintain our #3 spot for competitive advantage for PBS?

This is a great initiative to expand the Africa Market for the UK. It is a huge market and growing; and good for the UK global strategy. The Africa complexity for trade is many, my area of expertise, forex risk management being one of the many the UK exporter and Africa importer need to get right. Nicky S.
