It provides a transparent picture of the first decade of legalized and regulated cannabis sales in the Mile High City and is a collaborative effort by several city departments and agencies. Remember “if you build it, they will come” quote from a Field of Dreams? New take on that quote- “If you approve it, youth with have increased access… and will use it” In November 2010, Arizona legalized medical marijuana and on November 30th, 2020, Arizona legalized and commercialized marijuana. Between 2020 and 2022, the percentage of users in 8th grade who obtained it from a marijuana store within Arizona increased by 21.7%, from 6.9% to 8.4%. Likewise, the percentage of users in 10th grade who obtained it increased by 56.0%, from 8.4% to 13.1%, and the percentage among users in 12th grade increased by 55.6%, from 13.5% to 21.0%. https://lnkd.in/eDKb74AV
