The role of Chief Executive Officer at Taighde Éireann - Research Ireland is open for recruitment. Research Ireland is an amalgamation of the functions of Science Foundation Ireland and the Irish Research Council, and will capitalise on the recognised strengths of these two agencies in driving world class research and innovation in Ireland. With the guidance of the Board, the CEO will be the driving force behind Research Ireland’s vision, strategy and management of the allocation of funding that advances knowledge and innovation in Ireland. The CEO will oversee the development and execution of funding programmes in alignment with national and international priorities across all disciplines, as well as enabling the agency to take a leadership role in fostering collaboration across the research and innovation system. This role requires a strong understanding of the #research and #innovation landscape within Ireland, the EU and internationally, as well as in depth knowledge of public sector and government funding mechanisms.  Closing date for application is Thursday 6th February 2025.
