I came across this internship opportunity and was surprised by the tone and expectations outlined. Statements like "ONLY THE STRONGEST AND BEST LEGAL MINDS SURVIVE" are intimidating and may deter potential candidates. Expecting an intern to commit for 6 months during their degree is outright unreasonable. Interns are expected to possess extensive skills in drafting and street smarts, yet the mentor admits to providing minimal guidance. This contradicts the very essence of an internship, which should focus on learning, mentorship, and guidance. A meager stipend does not justify these high demands. Although it definitely helps, it is not a necessary prerequisite. 💡 When I was applying to my Congressional Internship, one extracurricular I highlighted heavily was my involvement in the Model United Nations (UN) team at my University.
