For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and increasingly non-Aboriginal people, the day the First Fleet raised the Union Jack at Warrane, Sydney Cove is known as Invasion Day and celebrated and recognised as Survival Day. 'Warrane' is the Sydney language word for Sydney Cove. The Gadigal people have lived on the southern shore of Port Jackson for millennia. The land and harbour provided abundant resources, and the people thrived. The historical events of January 26 means that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people see this date as a day that marks the anniversary of colonisation and dispossession of this nation’s First Peoples in 1788. For the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families who Mackillop works with across Australia, our commitment to reconciliation through truth-telling, means listening to the community. For many Aboriginal people, January 26 is a reminder of harsh and inhumane policies. These policies, that continued into the 1970’s, and created the Stolen Generation, continue to impact Aboriginal children and young people – some of whom we work with, through intergenerational trauma and disadvantage.

When it comes to Calgary municipal politics, the bottom-line question is simply this: "How much do you want Jyoti Gondek gone?" Gondek has declared her intention to run for another term next fall. If we want another four years of woke ideology, being ignored, having property taxes increased, and being accused of racism, all that's necessary is for us to do nothing. Alternatively, we can get involved. Check out the Better Calgary organization?

ABORIGINAL INDUSTRY – At it Again They now have upped the ante on their time frame of SUPPOSED EXISTANCE, and also now claiming the insulting WELCOMING TO COUNTRY NONSENSE was started and been around for 250,00 YEARS. In 1788, they were discovered as hunter gatherers existing in a baron stone age land. When is it ever going to stop. Whether 65,000 or 250,000 years of supposed existence, they had nothing, built nothing, knew nothing and could not communicate because there were 500 tribes with many JARGONs and were never a NATION. Barely 235 years since the arrival of the first fleet, these Aboriginal descendent Australian’s are now known as the great custodians of all knowledge about all things from the sea, land, air, water, astronomy, environment, trees and all living creatures, animals and fish, you name it. Without question ????? they are THE ones with all the knowledge. Like it has been for 65,000 or 250,000 years and these Aboriginal descendent Australian’s are recognized as the least educated and LEAST knowledgeable ON EARTH. These Aboriginal impostures must be brought into line and made to stop this endless stream of lies about themselves and the divisive mantras and evils they push onto all other Australian’s.
Historical distortion again. The history of Indigenous Australians began 50,000 to 65,000 years ago when humans first populated the Australian continental landmasses. However, more propaganda and deceit presented at the AFL of an introduction to all inclusive Australians of a minority group of Australians from an Indigenous Elite Brendan Kerin, ( a cultural educator from the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council) who should know better because of his professional position. He should get his historical information correct if he holds such a role. His truly un welcomed commentary that a A Welcome to Country is not a ceremony we’ve invented to cater for white people,” he stated is “a ceremony we’ve been doing for 250,000 years-plus BC. And the BC stands for Before Cook.” Embarrassing and not welcomed.
