In light of the new data published today, WIC welcomes the Workplace Gender Equality Agency's push for transparency in holding organisations to account and making sure they walk the talk.   The fact that Australian women earn 78 cents to a man’s dollar, which is lower compared to US reports of 83 cents, shows we have a long way to go.   WIC calls for organisations to effect real change from the top down by addressing the unacceptable gender imbalance in leadership positions, as only 19% of chairs are women.   Deliberate, long-term action across all levels is the key to bridging the gender divide.   #wgea #genderpaygap #womeninleadership
