Fatherhood engagement is much more than outreach or marketing. Father-inclusive practice recognizes the crucial role fathers play in their children's lives, and proactively engages and supports them in the parenting process. In turn, it benefits children, families, and communities. Join us next Wednesday to meet the dads from the Commonwealth Center for Fathers and Families (CCFF) of Kentucky, an innovative nonprofit focused on increasing positive fatherhood engagement and inclusion across Kentucky. https://ow.ly/Ivzs50R7RHk?

Our Focus Goes Beyond Martial Arts: At our UMF academy, we’re dedicated to cultivating kindness, unity, and compassion. ❤️ Giving back isn’t just an activity—it’s a stepping stone toward growing responsible future leaders. This season of thankfulness, let’s encourage our children to spread positivity both in their training and in the community! 🙌 Here are some meaningful ways to engage kids in acts of kindness this month: 🤲 Serve Together: Get involved in community efforts, like park clean-ups or volunteering at local shelters. These activities offer valuable lessons in empathy and teamwork. 💌 Share Holiday Joy with Cards: Craft handmade cards to send to veterans, seniors, or local heroes. It’s a thoughtful way for kids to express appreciation and spread holiday cheer. 🧸 Donate Toys for Tots: Collect gently used or new toys to bring smiles to children who could use a little extra joy this season. 😊 Encourage Small Acts of Kindness: Every kind gesture matters! Motivate your kids to help a friend, share a compliment, or write kind notes for classmates. #CultivatingValues #givingback #Citizen #Citizenship #characterdevelopment

● Help Support the Kids’ Chance Mission During Awareness Week 2024. ● Every Action Makes a Difference in These Kids’ Lives. When a worker gets injured on the job, it doesn’t just affect them — it affects their entire family, especially their kids. That’s why our 50 Kids’ Chance state organizations provide scholarships and support to the kids of workers who have been injured on the job. We want to ensure these kids can complete their education and go on to fulfilling and gainful careers. Since 1988, Kids’ Chance state organizations have awarded over 10,000 scholarships totaling over $36 million dollars. But we know there are more kids in need of assistance. Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is a time when every member of the Kids’ Chance community can support our mission, these families, and these kids. By coming together one week each year, we concentrate our efforts, which boosts our volume. This year, Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is November 18-22, 2024. Join our national movement for one day or for the whole week. Here’s what you can do to support our mission during Awareness Week: ● Make a donation to Kids’ Chance of Connecticut www.kidschancect.org and challenge your colleges to do the same. ● Spread the word about Kids’ Chance on social media using #KidsChanceofCT and #MoreMoneyforMoreKids

When did you feel like you belonged in the environmental movement? 🌿💚 At our 10th Anniversary Celebration, we asked Ki'Ana Speights, M.A. of American Public Health Association and Hanna Lester of The Pew Charitable Trusts how they've navigated finding and building spaces of belonging. We all deserve to be affirmed, celebrated, and seen in our workplaces. Programs like the RAY Fellowship Program and Black Girl Environmentalist’s fellowship are foundational solutions to this gap. As Ki'Ana points out, sometimes "the only way to feel included is to create our own spaces". Music from #Uppbeat: https://lnkd.in/efAduVFQ License code: TOJZNHTS2DG0JE76
