Politics & democracy there an every day thing. The two main parties, are anyone of them really worth it? So what changes are available.
What truly keeps us safe in our communities? A few weeks back, I attended a neighborhood meeting that made me rethink safety entirely. While I expected discussions on policing and surveillance, I was surprised to find everyone focusing on connection and trust. One person shared how a simple habit of sharing meals had fostered greater relationships and support networks among neighbors. The conversation shifted toward proactive community engagement, illustrating that safety isn’t just about precautions but about creating a web of support and understanding. This insight resonates deeply, especially after listening to an episode of Hidden Brain that tackles this very notion. The main takeaway is that when we focus on building trust and open communication, we can collectively enhance our safety. Have you experienced moments where community connections have made a difference in your safety? Share your stories below! https://lnkd.in/eq8MtSZe

Whenever birdcage liner of record @StarTribune blocks commenting on an article, that's your first clue that they are lying, gaslighting, and/or shoveling manufactured consent. Libraries as homeless shelters and drug dens is not acceptable and should not be accepted under any circumstances. That activity should be stomped out, disallowed, and the participants permanently ejected. Also, they amplify the voice of some lunatic fringe social justice organization (Library Patrons Union) that states that the fact that a 9-year-old was "banned from the library twice for a variety of disruptive behaviors including breaking a car window, verbally and physically assaulting patrons, and making threats to staff," is proof that the library is racist and that "library security disproportionately punishes people of color accused of breaking rules." However, ZERO comparison or proof is offered that any white 9-year-old was not banned after breaking a car window, verbally and physically assaulting patrons, and making threats to staff. This article and fake reporter @chris_magan are complete BS.

As many of you know, social organizations in Latin America have faced strong demands from citizens and donors to be more transparent with their information. This demand makes sense, as we aim to build a robust civil society that can generate sufficient trust among its users, donors, and peers. These organizations address issues that neither the state nor the private sector can solve. However, how should we respond to transparency requirements while also protecting the personal data of members, beneficiaries, etc.? There must be a balance between providing necessary information for accountability, such as financial statements and reports, and protecting sensitive and non-sensitive data. This balance respects fundamental rights recognized both internationally and locally. We must be vigilant in complying with regulations and social demands. More importantly, as a civil society, we must strive to create internal policies for informed consent, privacy policies, and more. #DataPrivacy #InformedConsent #ONGs #Transparency
