I think a lot about Frontier Fintech. I think if I were to benchmark myself, I'd say I'd want Frontier Fintech to be a mix of Stray Reflections and Stratechery. Both have super high quality readership that requires a consistency in the quality of your output. To maintain CEOs and Chairmen as readers, you can't let your standards drop. Stray Reflections has a unique blend of insights and community both physical and virtual that is the gold standard for curating a high-quality community.

That’s a wrap! I’ve just completed something I’ve been meaning to do for ages – compiling timelines for some of the key areas of fintech. Why? Because next time someone asks, "What’s fintech?", I want to be ready with a response that’s genuinely insightful. This resource is designed for anyone stepping into the world of fintech. Whether you're a newcomer or a veteran, I hope it provides value. And if you read it and think, "I could do better!" – great! Maybe it'll inspire you to create something even more impactful. But I’m not stopping here. I’ll be diving deeper into specific fintech areas next, sharing some personal thoughts along the way. Expect something less like a history lesson and more like “Here’s what Liam's thoughts on X fintech topic” https://lnkd.in/e8tUnafQ

Building fintech solutions isn't just about financial transactions; it’s about creating security, accessibility, and empowerment for users. At South Geeks, our team is driven by the challenge of developing solutions that make finance more innovative and transparent. What’s the biggest lesson fintech has taught you? #Fintech #Innovation

The april team was out at Fintech Meetup in Las Vegas, or, as we lovingly call it - the Tinder for fintechs. Here are our top takeaways; we're swiping right on this conference 🔥 🖼 Picture this: Speed dating, but make it fintech. We didn't just meet people; we connected with a whirlwind of innovative minds for rapid-fire exchanges of groundbreaking ideas. 💸 Financial wellness took center stage, and it felt like home. Our tax optimizer product resonated with the crowd - imagine increasing take home pay annually by ~$500: that's the kind of impact we're talking about. 🌱 The buzzword? Partnerships. Gone are the days of going it alone. The future is about joining forces, creating an ecosystem where fintechs and finservs amplify each other's strengths. Couldn't make it to the desert? We've got you covered. Swing by our blog (linked below) for the inside scoop on why what happens in Vegas could very well change your users' financial futures. #fintechpartnerships #financialwellness #fintechinnovation cc Mario Lombardo, MBA

A great piece from Team8 - An Unconventional Look at the Future of #Fintech They start with what is not likely to change. The axioms of financial services which I think are beyond any challenge. 1. The shortest path to a financial product will always be the path most customers choose to go down, regardless of the risks or the preferences of market incumbents 2. Regulatory arbitrage as a long term business model or product strategy is always a bad bet 3. Lucky timing (of macroeconomic cycles) isn't a smart or reliable strategy 4. Many of the challenges and opportunities in financial services stem from the fractured and highly divergent global financial infrastructure 5. The opportunities to partner with or sell to incumbents vastly outstrip the opportunities to replace them wholesale 6. Fraud will never not be a threat And the report continue with what is likely to change, finishing with potential gamechangers. You will have to read that bit for yourself... The bottom line of both what is likely to change and what is not going to change is the growing, and I think inevitable, separation (I don't like the word unbundling) between manufacturing and distribution in financial services. Same way it happened in a few other sectors. It does not matter whether the distribution is by big tech or some form of future metaverse, banks will be largely invisible. What matters is that their products, whether from a single provider or a group of best-in-class providers, will be brought together (orchestrated?) by the entity that interacts with the customer, knows their needs well and that have an incentive to build deeper, lasting and data rich relationships (so, no, I don't expect fast fashion companies to offer mortgages ever or to get into KYC) Done well, #embeddedfinance is convenient, compliant, business cycle resistant, involves incumbent banks and with the right context can help fight fraud (which is inevitable). I strongly believe it will also be global, like its likely customers. The future is #embedded 👌 Rakefet Russak-Aminoach Liran Amrany Hadar Siterman Norris Ronen Assia Galia Beer-Gabel Download the report --> https://lnkd.in/eEH6K5wv

As I sit here bingeing The Office for the 9,986,000th time, I cannot help but wonder what a Michael Scott Meets Fintech episode would look like. So for my first installment of a "Non-Techie Demystifying FinTech" Challenge, I bring you... Explain it to me like I'm Five: What is FinTech? I honestly believe Michael Scott would be ALL OVER Fintech! Imagine him, strutting through the Dunder Mifflin office, phone held high, proclaiming "I declare Financial Freedom!" Followed by a few too many "Sha Tatatas" and 6 Million Dollar Man impression. Think of Fintech as Dwight's filing system, digitized and way cooler. No more beet-based mishaps, just clear, easy tools to manage your money like a true Assistant (to the) Regional Manager. But why would Michael, the self-proclaimed "World's Best Boss," be so pumped? Let's break it down: 🔥 Efficiency is Key (No More Fire Drills Needed): Remember Michael's obsession with "sprints" and getting things done (even if it involved questionable tactics)? Fintech automates tasks and simplifies processes, freeing you up for more important things. Like practicing CPR to the beat of Staying Alive or planning the next Dundie Awards. No more paper checks or rotary phones slowing you down! 📺 Innovation Rocks! (No Plasma TVs Required): Michael might not understand blockchain (yet!), but he loves anything new and exciting. Fintech is constantly evolving with new tools and solutions, keeping things fresh and engaging. Think of it like a never-ending "WUPHF" update, keeping you informed and in control of your finances. ➕ Teamwork Makes the Dream Work (Even for Kevin Malone): Michael may not always be the best team player, but he believes in bringing people together. Many Fintech companies focus on financial education and inclusion, helping everyone from Kevin Malone to Angela Martin achieve their financial goals. Did someone call for a FinTech Dance Party, Oscar? Are you as excited about the FinTech revolution as Michael and Stanley on Pretzel Day, yet? 🥨 🥨 🥨 #Fintech #TheOffice #FinancialEmpowerment #ThatsWhatSheSaid (ButSeriouslyThisIsGood) #WorldBestBossBudget #financialtechnology #DemystifyingFinTech I hope ya'll can have as much fun with this one as I did writing it. I gotta get back to Season 4, Episode 8: (14:39). 😉

*🚀 The Evolution of Fintech: It’s More Than Just Tech 🚀* It's incredible to think about how far the fintech industry has come in just a few short years. We’ve gone from merely imagining digital wallets to building platforms that democratize finance and open up new possibilities for everyone, everywhere. But let’s be real—fintech growth isn’t just about the latest technologies or flashy apps. It’s about the people behind the progress: the innovators, the dreamers, the users, and the everyday folks who are now able to take charge of their finances in ways that were once impossible. I’m grateful to be part of an industry that’s not only growing rapidly but is also genuinely changing lives. From empowering small businesses with better access to capital to making financial literacy more accessible, fintech is shaping a future where finance is simpler, faster, and more inclusive for all. 🌱 The best part? We’re just getting started. The innovation we’re seeing today is just the tip of the iceberg, and I can’t wait to see how we’ll continue to break barriers and redefine what's possible in finance. 🔮 What’s one fintech development that you think will have the biggest impact in the next 5 years? I’d love to hear your thoughts below! 👇 . . . . . . . #Fintech #Growth #Innovation #FinancialInclusion #DigitalTransformation #TechForGood #LinkedInCommunity #Phonepe #revolute #Ireland #Fintech #bankofireland #AIB
