So the headline says 78 Rivers open for Salmon Fishing. Why isn't that headline about 69 rivers being closed for Salmon Fishing - including the River Liffey. Why isn't the headline about the collapse in the sustainability levels of Atlantic Salmon, in 69 rivers, with a further 38 rivers only being allowed catch and release fishing, as their sustainability numbers are only borderline. Why isn't the headline "ONLY 40 rivers open for Salmon Fishing"? Why is the destruction of this habitat, and its main iconic species, the Atlantic Salmon, being so normalised? The vessels targeting squid in the Moray Firth and the Rockall area are now using 80mm mesh sizes? Thanks!

ICYMI: After two years of hearings and dozens of witnesses, a Canadian Parliamentary committee on Friday dropped its much-anticipated report on illegal fishing in #Canada.
