“U.S. Representatives Mike Rogers (R-AL) and Adam Smith (D-WA), Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, along with Don Bacon (R-NE) and Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Chairman and Ranking Member of the Quality of Life Panel, sent a letter calling on President Biden to support improving the quality of life for service members and military families in his Fiscal Year 2025 Department of Defense Budget request. In the letter, the members wrote, “Our service members represent the best our nation has to offer and are central to our national security. The All-Volunteer Force has been the foundation of America’s national defense for the last five decades. Yet the committee’s quality of life inquiry thus far has revealed an alarming erosion of military quality of life that, if not addressed quickly, will soon place the All-Volunteer Force at risk. There’s a category of #military brats that are especially deserving of the nation’s recognition, gratitude, and serious study: the roughly 2 million Post-9/11 military children who experienced at least one if not multiple parental deployments—most often to theaters of #war—in the 20yr period after 2001. Already by 2011 (the formal end of the Iraq War), more than 4,300 of these children had had a parent killed in the Iraq & Afghanistan wars. As of 2015, that number had reached some 5,000. It’s difficult to know exactly how many American military kids are survivors or orphans of troops who were killed in the line of duty during the #GWOT, or who they are, let alone the total numbers of children survivors of all those who’ve served in the Post-9/11 era: There does not appear to be any type of database or central repository of information from which to find them. Surveying the past 35 years with the Lucas Group, however, the nonprofit Fallen Patriots has estimated that approximately 25,000 children have lost an active duty parent during that time (whether from accident, illness, hostilities, or suicide). The majority of these fatalities were their fathers. We owe a debt to these military children that goes far beyond media pronouncements and themed events once a year in April.

The Constitution is the Cornerstone of Much More Than Just Democracy or Popular Sovereignty by Representation, it is the Cornerstone of The United States of America, The Constitutional Republic Established by it, The US Government ruling US, SCOTUS Laws and Armed Forces which Protects & Defends our Constitution & Country; And contrary to popular opinions, our Constitution is solidly Founded on GOD (Father, Son Jesus & Holy Spirit), Christian Faith & Foundation as Highest Authority & Sovereignty; lastly, our Constitution was written, spoken and established in English, which is our normal language. My points are that though we’ve yet to specify officially that we are a Christian Country by the vast majority of Christian Citizens as it was in our beginnings & Forefathers; likewise, that though we haven’t made English our official language, it’s certainly our language, despite many federal & states providing Spanish + other forms of communication as an alternative for legal immigrants and those that become Naturalized Citizens but haven’t mastered English or more comfortable speaking their native languages. Both are things I’d legislate if I were in a position to. 🤩🙏🇺🇸#REBTD😇

On this day, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the heroes who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy. First responders, medical personnel, and countless volunteers served courageously, offering their all to help families and communities in need. As a USAF veteran, I’ve come to reflect on what it truly means to serve. When we sign up to join the military, I don’t know if we fully understand the weight of giving ourselves for others. But when the moment comes—when faced with the decision to defend our country, fight for freedom, and even face the possibility of war—so many do not flinch. They serve with honor, and some pay the ultimate price so that others can live their lives in peace. This spirit of selflessness and sacrifice is something I carry with me, not only from my military service but also in everyday life. Whether on the battlefield or in the challenges we face daily, standing for what you believe in and knowing your value is a form of strength that can inspire and uplift those around us. Today, we honor those who gave their lives on 9/11 and those who continue to serve.
