Had an incredible time at the #RFISUMMIT last week in Kansas City, MO! Was able to meet & speak to many great people in the Restaurant Industry, learn a ton of great insights from the sessions attended and visit Arrowhead Stadium for a Dinner Party! (Go Kansas City Chiefs!) I was also able to moderate my first panel session for Instant Financial, "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆". The session covered the question: "With rising food and labor costs, what ways can restaurant operators positively impact profitability?" We explored how electronic employee tip solutions can help by removing the costs associated with physical cash, reducing reliance on armored vehicle deliveries and shifting labor efforts to more profitable areas, restaurant operators can significantly address this challenge area and seek a return to profitability. The session went very well, with special thanks to our Panelists: ➡ Jay Kazlow | President/COO | Dantanna's Restaurant Group ➡ Neil Newcomb | CEO | Kelly's Roast Beef And thanks to the support of our Instant Financial Team at the event, Aubrey Elmore & Ksenia Steidel. Together, we formed a great Team, and had a lot of fun meeting new people, listening to great speakers, sharing how Instant supports the Restaurant space and of course, eating some great BBQ! Finally, highlighting a few great organizations I was able to gather a ton of knowledge from during their sessions. Thanks to Potbelly Sandwich Works, Culver's Restaurants, Toppers Pizza, IHOP & Blaze Pizza, LLC. #Instant #DigitalTips #Profitability #CostEfficiency #EmployeeExpectations

Helping Grow Purpose-Driven Brands | Growth Strategist | Ex-P&G Brand Builder | Sustainability Marketing | Fractional CMO
A multi-million dollar question that stumped Burger King's executives wasn't about burgers at all. Burger King's exec team was debating their chicken sandwich strategy. A consultant took them outside and pointed at the sign above the building. 'What does the sign say?' he asked. 'Burger King,' they replied. 'Exactly. Why are you arguing about chicken?' In our quest for growth, we often stray from what made us successful. We expand our focus, diluting our strength. But what if the path to growth isn't through endless expansion, but through deepening our expertise in what we do best? Staying focused isn't limiting. It's liberating. It allows us to be exceptional, not just average. What is one way you are deepening value in your core offering this year? There’s always a line at Chick-fil-A, not because their chicken is great (which it is). There’s always a line at Chick-fil-A because their chicken is great AND you can expect them to treat you right. It’s not the “My Pleasure” you know you’ll hear. It’s the fact that you know you will have a good experience and if you don’t, something will be done to make it right. Why? Because the expectation within the restaurant is that is what will happen, and employees are empowered to make things right. When expectations are set and people are empowered things seem to take care of themselves. #customerexperience #sales #sethtalks

Spotted something strange on my burger run lately: McDonald's next door to Burger King, like always! Why do rivals crowd together? Here's the scooping: Prime Real Estate: Imagine the best food court spot. These chains fight for busy areas, and being neighbors brings in more customers (think hungry crowds already there). Domino Effect: One burger joint gets customers, others get a slice of the pie. People drawn to McDonald's might also peek at Burger King's menu. Rent Squeeze: Landlords know these chains bring in business, so they charge more for spots near them. By clustering, they create a "restaurant row" that justifies high rents. Imagine two burger bros opening restaurants across town, aiming for an equal share of customers (like 50% each). But then, one bro moves closer to the other! This might grab him 25% more customers, while leaving the other bro with just 25%. That's the power of location! By clustering together, these chains can still aim for a balanced share (like 50%-50%) because there are more hungry people around. This trick of hanging out with your rivals is called 'Spatial Agglomeration' in the business world. So, next time you see these chains clustered, remember - it's not a coincidence. They're using location to their advantage in the fast-food wars! #fastfood #competition #marketing #businesshacks
