Over the past year, I completed a comprehensive learning program with Deque University on Accessibility. The insights gained have significantly influenced my approach as a technology professional. Understanding the challenges that arise from neglecting accessibility in content creation and software design has been eye-opening. Accessibility is not an afterthought—it's a fundamental consideration from the outset. #Accessibility #DequeUniversity #InclusiveDesign

It is essential for teacher to teach digital citizenship before using technology in the classroom because it helps students understand how to use technology responsibly, respectfully, and safely. By teaching digital citizenship, teachers can empower students to make informed decisions online, navigate digital spaces effectively, and avoid potential risks. It also promotes positive online behavior, critical thinking, and digital literacy skills, which are essential in today's digital age. #EDLT3110

This past Saturday marked the International Day for Universal Access to Information, and it got me thinking. We live in the information age, but let’s be real: information is much more powerful when it is accessible. Think about it—what good is vital news, educational resources, or essential services if millions of people can’t access them? And we’re not just talking about physical barriers. Digital inaccessibility keeps so many locked out. Digital accessibility is the key to leveling the playing field, ensuring that everyone—regardless of ability—can access the same information. Whether it's keeping up with the latest news, accessing education, or managing everyday tasks like paying bills or booking appointments, no one should be left behind. And with small steps like screen readers, subtitles, and intuitive navigation, it becomes possible for people with disabilities to engage with the world online, just like everyone else. Because, really, isn’t universal access what the digital world was supposed to be about in the first place? Amit
