Just three weeks to go until The PIE Live Asia Pacific, 29-30 July in Australia's Gold Coast! A few weeks ago I was privileged to attend the launch of AIEGS NIGERIA and here are a few things I learned just from observing the team chemistry: 1. Invest in your staffs: This way the least member of your staff is able to represent you well. I was impressed by how every staff member was exceptional at their job. 2. Celebrate and reward your employees: I was truly touched when the CEO’s and brand mangers publicly acknowledged the work their employees put into the launch. It was an event that hosted dignitaries and many influential individuals and most organizations would not want to talk about the brains behind their company in fear that their employees would be poached. AIEGS must be secure in how well they treat their employees because they celebrated their employees without holding back. 3. Sell your business value to the front runner of your business: Hats off to the Brand specialist for being so in tune with the goals and mission of the company, it really sold the brand to everyone present. That said, I would advise that you go into a company who looks after your best interest and when you get there put in your best, sharpen what your best is and make it even better.

Abroad is good , you can gain more experinece and more knowledge

In Catalònia, Spain, nearly 17% of students leave school early, with 10% failing to achieve a compulsory secondary education degree.   This is particularly prevalent among students from migrant backgrounds or families with minimal formal education..   To address this, the El Lindar Foundation, with support from the Z Zurich Foundation and Sabadell Seguros launched La Fàbrika.   This 3-year program provides early school-leavers and vulnerable youth with educational training, hands-on experience and job placement opportunities in the digital manufacturing industry.   A very important component of La Fàbrika is that they directly hire some of their students through their own job placement companies, offering them work in real-life businesses linked to each training specialization. “El Llindar is the best place to study if you want a good future”, says Judith, or “a hope to become someone in life”, says Adrian, both second year students in La Fàbrika. The La Fàbrika Project aims to positively impact thousands of vulnerable individuals. Beyond equipping students with self-esteem and employability skills, the program will also benefit their families and communities.

This program in Spain is a great proof point of our journey to enable more social equity by tackling youth unemployment and providing more opportunities in education, employability and entrepreneurship for young people…

What were the key outcomes and indicators around the international work of a City of Culture Evaluation approaches to the international aspects of a City of Culture. What considerations are needed when planning the evaluation approach around the international strand to a City of Culture? What this means in practice: what does this mean for Bradford 2025? Where are the opportunities NOW in Bradford to develop and embed a longitudinal study, utilising some of the Bradford 2025 signature projects and evaluation projects as both case studies and sources of data and insight?
