Mood boards are a common concept used within the design world, and it is no different for biophilic design. When planning a space while incorporating biophilia, it is important to consider a number of factors to ensure the space remains cohesive: ♒ Texture: The textures in this image are rich and varied. We have the smooth and waxy surfaces of succulent plants, which contrast with the fibrous and coarse texture of the linen and paper materials. Rustic textures are evident on the weathered stone tiles, adding a sense of age and natural wear. The crinkled and uneven surfaces of the brown materials add to the organic feel of the composition. 🌿Biophilia: The concept of biophilia is represented through the inclusion of living plants, which suggests a human desire to connect with nature. The succulents and the cactus bring elements of greenery into the image, promoting a sense of calmness and natural beauty. 🌱 Colour: The colour scheme is muted and earth-toned, featuring greens, browns, and greys, evoking a natural and serene atmosphere. There is a harmony in the colours that reflect the natural world, with the plants providing shades of green that stand out against the neutral tones of the background materials. The overall softness in colour contributes to a cohesive and tranquil visual experience. 🗞 Materials: The materials include organic and natural elements such as plants, paper, linen, and stone. Linen fabric adds a touch of softness and warmth to the composition. The stone tiles give a sense of solidity and permanence, grounding the composition. The overall composition is carefully balanced, with each element thoughtfully placed to create a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing tableau that celebrates natural materials and textures. The image could be in the style of a minimalist or naturalistic design, emphasizing simplicity, materiality, and a connection to the natural world. #biophilicdesign #interiordesign #biophilia #officedesign

When transforming a space with tile, the format can make all the difference in creating a stunning and cohesive look. Here's why tile format matters more than you might think: 1️⃣ Visual Impact: The format of your tiles can dramatically impact the visual perception of a room. Larger format tiles tend to create a sense of spaciousness and continuity, while smaller format tiles can add texture and visual interest. 2️⃣ Style and Aesthetics: Different tile formats lend themselves to different design styles. From sleek and modern to rustic and traditional, the right format can help you achieve the aesthetic you desire for your space. 3️⃣ Functional Considerations: Tile format can also play a role in the functionality of a space. For example, large format tiles are often preferred in high-traffic areas for their durability and ease of maintenance, while smaller format tiles may be better suited for intricate patterns or curved surfaces. 4️⃣ Versatility: With a wide range of tile formats available, you have the flexibility to get creative and experiment with different layouts and patterns. Whether you prefer a classic grid pattern, a herringbone design, or a trendy chevron layout, the possibilities are endless! 5️⃣ Cohesive Design: Finally, choosing the right tile format is essential for creating a cohesive and harmonious design scheme. By carefully selecting tiles that complement each other in size, shape, and colour, you can achieve a unified look that ties the entire room together. Explore our diverse range of tile formats to transform any space into a work of art. 🎨🏡 #TileFormat #DesignMatters #ElevateYourSpace

A vision for the future of spatial design Part 2 - What Where do we begin? The first and most important point is to begin by merging the Brand and Creative Touch Points. Beautiful design is always nice. But beautiful design that is thoughtfully connected and supportive of the overall brand message is much better. Each creative decision should be grounded in the brand. I find it easier to begin by crafting a concise “elevator pitch” type message that encompasses the brand identity. Once in hand, this message creates a platform for each and every design choice from spatial form to materials, finishes, lighting and furnishings. Every single item should align with the brand message. The end results will be more cohesive and successful.

As an #architect or planner, deciding on a #design object that fulfil your own high expectations and those of the client can be a real #challenge. It is often even more difficult to find the right accessories. These are often not offered by the actual manufacturer and then do not fit properly or do not meet the quality standards of the piece of furniture. The search is therefore time-consuming and can take a considerable amount of time. At least as far as Hans K pieces are concerned, there is now the perfect solution. Because HEY-SIGN, as a leading company in high-quality and sustainable wool felt, has the perfect complement for future design classics. HEY-SIGN produces high-quality seat pads exclusively for Hans K. These customised products made of 100% pure new wool "Made in Germany" not only give the designer chairs that certain something, but also save a long search thanks to their perfect fit and high-quality finish. The successful collaboration on this first project is no coincidence, because only when two manufacturers have the same high standards of perfection can the result be a real benefit for everyone involved. Of course, this is especially true for all architects and planners, who can now find the perfect accessory for Hans K's timeless chairs and find plenty of inspiration for further ideas. #architecturedesign #sustainabledesign
