🌟 Back to School, Back to Clarity: Time to Declutter!✨ As the school year kicks off, it’s the perfect opportunity to refresh our spaces and minds. Here are some basic tips to help you declutter and organise effectively: 1. Preparation: school mornings can be chaos, get as much as you can ready the evening before. Clothes hung out for you aswell as the kids, bags ready, breakfast set up. 1. Tackle the house entrance: With busy school mornings, a clean entryway can make a huge difference. Use baskets or hooks for bags and shoes to keep everything tidy. 2. Sort Through School Papers: Set up a system for managing schoolwork—decide what to keep and what can go. Consider a digital approach by taking pictures of artwork before recycling it. Decluttering can create a calmer environment, making it easier for kids to focus on their studies and for parents to manage daily life. Let’s embrace this fresh start!

We love seeing all of the back to school posts, it's such a special time of year. We just wanted to post some safety reminders to keep your information and kids whereabouts as private as possible! Here are a few safety reminders to think about going into the new year: -Don't post pics of your kids getting on the school bus with the bus number or your house number in them. (Tells bad guys where you live as well as what bus your kid will be getting on and off of every day.) -Don't post what school and who their teachers are. (Tells bad guys where your kid will be all day as well as what classroom they will be in.) -Don't buy back packs with their names embroidered on them or large tags with name/address on them. (A display for bad guys what your kids name is so they can more easily seem to know them. 'Oh hey John, I know your mom, come with me.' John doesn't realize his name is on his back and that the stranger just read it there and does not know his mom.) -This is a great time to come up with or remind your kids of your family safe word. This is a word that you only share with each other and in the instance of an emergency and someone needs to pick your kids up, you tell so that the kids know that person is safe. If the person doesn't know the word, your kids know not to go with them. Have an amazing and safe school year! Please add any additional tips in the comments! Here's a throwback photo of the first day of school for my kids the year I homeschooled them in the office...hard to believe that they'll be starting 5th and 6th grade this year! #gooseheadacademy
