This is how the design prototype tool market has evolved in the past 6 years. #UXDesign #DesignTools 📈In 2017, InVision led the way in the design prototype tool market, but around 2019, Sketch took the reins. Interestingly, within just a few months, Figma began its rapid ascent, and it has since maintained its position as the top prototype tool in the market. #DesignEvolution #Figma #InVision #Sketch As a designer who used all four products to design and prototype, I immediately can tell the difference between Figma and the rest of products. I love how powerful and intuitive it is! That’s why in 2022, I advocated for a design tool shift from Sketch to Figma at my workplace Social Garden, and so far it's been amazing! 🤠How has it helped us? - Smart functions like components and variables have improved design efficiency. - It facilitates smooth collaboration between designers, copywriters, developers, account managers, and clients! (Woohoo, almost every cross-functional team!) - We love the prototype function of Figma! It helps clients, developers, and animators visualize the visual effects. - Figma now offers numerous AI plugins that boost productivity and creativity. #ProductivityBoost #AI #Creativity Though Figma has been a game-changer for us, the design landscape is ever-evolving. As professionals, I reckon we will need to remain adaptable and proactive in embracing these changes, positioning ourselves as early adopters to stay at the forefront of innovation. 🤔What do you think?

Empowering Businesses with AI & Elegant Web Solutions | Technology Specialist @ RebelCorp | Blending Web Innovation & AI to Drive Business Excellence
So, Figma's about to drop something that's got me both stoked and slightly freaked out. You know that moment when you're staring at a blank canvas, wondering where the heck to start? Apparently, Figma's working on an AI thing that might make that a problem of the past. Here's what I've learned: What it promises: • Generate UI layouts and component options from text prompts • Tackle the dreaded "blank canvas problem" • Kickstart the design process with AI-generated first drafts How I'm imagining using it: • Rapid prototyping: Throwing ideas at it to see what sticks • Inspiration generator: A potential cure for designer's block • Client presentations: Quick mock-ups to gauge initial reactions Potential challenges I foresee: • Learning the right prompts: Might be an art in itself • Over-reliance risk: We'll need to remember it's a tool, not a replacement for creativity • Consistency with brand guidelines: Will likely still need that human touch Anticipated impact on workflow: • Faster initial design phases • More time for refining and iterating • Exploring design directions we might not have considered But here's what's keeping me up at night: Will this empower us designers or slowly edge us out? I'm itching to know: What are your thoughts on this upcoming feature? Excited? Skeptical? Both? Let's speculate together! After all, the future of our field might depend on how we adapt to these AI tools. #FigmaAI #FutureOfDesign #AIinDesign #WebDesignEvolution #figma #designing #webdesign

UX UI Designer - Crafting Exceptional Digital Experiences | Solver at @Solvative | Fellow at @Growthschool
Have we found the ultimate Figma replacement? Let's explore! 😱 I recently explored a new tool, creatie.ai, which isn't widely known yet, but I'm confident it's on its way to becoming popular soon. It boasts most of the features found in Figma, such as component properties, auto layout, and styles. You can effortlessly import files from Figma and other design tools, retaining all their properties. - Primarily, it integrates AI functionality, allowing you to perform tasks like "Text to Image," image upscaling, and much more. - It can audit your design and provide suggestions for areas where we might have overlooked minor details in a hurry. I believe this tool has a significant potential to attract Figma users easily, making it a potential game-changer. What do you think about this? Product & Service Designer facilitating business innovation by creating delightful end-to-end customer experiences.
FIGMA IS NOT A DESIGNER’S FRIEND The AI Make Designs feature is basically going to ricochet off of your existing designs, ultimately reducing the value of your hard work to ZERO. https://lnkd.in/g2_cuH_Q Thoughts? #figma #config #ai #designer
Managing Partner and Director of User Experience & Design - Strategic problem-solver, critical thinker, focused on valuable user-centred outcomes for users, businesses and organisations
🚨 DESIGN INDUSTRY WARNING - On August 15, 2024, Figma plans to turn on its learning model. That will take learnings from your designs and use them to create an AI model. ☠ This is a serious concern for the design industry and businesses alike. Figma will slowly move from being an enabler to using collective knowledge and ideas for its own benefit, which will likely be detrimental to many. While Figma says it will anonymise the content, this poses a serious risk to the IP of your designs. Sure, Figma has probably updated its terms, so you're agreeing to that, but I think this is very worrying. Could you imagine Github doing that for code? If you look in the FAQs, Government users won't have any AI applied to their accounts, assuming you set up a Gov account. For the rest of us, we're fair gain, you can opt-out, but to be honest, they won't need everyone in. Enough designs will give them plenty of ability to reduce the skill level of interaction design, reduce the value of invocation and creativity, and reduce the edge of coming up with novel concepts. We could end up with zombie design. This move can potentially start eroding UX design, prototyping and visual design, arguably further. 👉 MY ADVICE: TURN OFF THIS FEATURE ASAP. The feature isn't here to help the skilled or those determined to learn and understand the fundamentals of becoming designers (it might come with guises and minor benefits, though). It's hard to know how far Figma may take this to make more money at the industry's expense. 😨 FIGMA IS NO LONGER THE DESIGNER'S FRIEND; BE WARY. 🔎 UPDATE: Figma was already caught out with this on the same day. An example video shows the AI designing what commenters called out as an "iOS copy"; we can see the intention here. https://lnkd.in/eApaQce7 #figma #ai #design #industry #zombiedesign
