How do you go from an idea to innovation with digital products that enhance the quality of life, experiences and outcomes, by design? 🔬 Last month, our very own Experience Design & Strategy Director, Myles Washington III (he/him/his), had the pleasure of attending Figma's Figcon 2024. Figma, known for being the ultimate tool for collaborative design and crafting impactful products, is dedicated to making design accessible and enhancing usability. Recently, Figma unveiled Figma AI, UI3, and Figma Slides, alongside significant updates to Dev Mode and enhancements across various capabilities. Here are the five exciting platform updates that Myles is most excited about: 🛠️ Figma AI: think bigger and build faster → AI enables a seamless transition from idea to product → Solutions tailored specifically for designers → Grounded in real user needs beyond the hype 👀 Visual search: find what you're looking for → Easily locate production screenshots or existing components → Search using screenshots, selected frames, or simple sketches → Enhanced Asset Search with AI that understands the context behind queries 💡 Make designs: a better way to get started → Generate UI layouts and components from text prompts. → Jumpstart your design process with a first draft from Figma. ✔️ UI3: Figma, redesigned → More immersive canvas and component-centered UI. → New icon set and features driven by community feedback. → Gradual rollout to help users adjust, with an option to temporarily revert. 📉 Figma slides: build, collaborate, and present → A slide tool that integrates Figma's best features. → Simplifies collaboration with non-designers and streamlines presentation creation. In a future shaped by AI, craft will be the differentiator. Figma's new features aim to expand capabilities and enhance daily software quality. What unique challenges and perspectives does Figma AI address for you? And what excites you most about the future of design with AI? 😊 Curious about the projects our teams create using Figma?
