I love my job. I know, I know - lots of people say that, but I honestly mean it. On the regular I get messages on Linked In from recruiters and headhunters asking me if I’m interested in a position they are trying to fill and the answer is always the same - “I’m really happy with where I am, I’m not looking for a new opportunity”. Now, I know that 99% of the Linked In community gets these sort of messages but it got me thinking - why do I love my job? There are so many reasons. It’s not about the money (it never has been and never will be). It’s about helping my clients to find the best fit for their site. It’s not about being the biggest, for me it’s about being the best at what I do. As I sit here tonight (as I do most nights), reviewing repair costs for one of my clients and making sure what we are providing is what they need, I do wonder how many other sales people are this passionate (obsessed) with what they do. In a market where sales people are collecting incentives for pushing the new you beaut product in their range - we are over here keeping it real, providing cost effective solutions and service that no one else can match. So ask yourself this - is your current supplier seeing you as a dollar sign (or a sales bonus) or are they actually listening to you and finding the best fit for your site. If you are just a dollar sign, you know who to call. The National Pump & Energy team and I are here to help #undergroundmining #goldmining #australianmining #nickel #womeninmining #goldfields #lovewhatyoudo #submersiblepumps #westisbest #underground

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 – 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐮𝐦𝐛 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮? 👇👇 Imagine I had a bad experience with a plumber and decided, “That’s it, I’m never using a plumber again!” What would you think? A bit misguided, right? 🤔 But I’ve heard something similar from a couple of job seekers lately: after a previous experience with one recruiter, they've sworn them all off. Like any profession—plumbers & recruiters included —you’ll find both good and bad ones. Sure, a DIY job search will likely not be as disastrous as me doing my own plumbing! 😬, but without a specialist recruiter, your search can end up being far less effective. Here’s what you’re missing out on: ❌ Expert guidance and advice ❌ Access to a wider range of roles (not just those advertised on SEEK) ❌ Time saved by avoiding firms that are not a good fit ❌ Confidence that a firm will deliver on what’s promised ❌ A negotiation partner What do you think? Is it a bit dumb to swear off recruiters entirely due to one bad experience? 𝐏𝐒 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐢s 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡!

Are Recruiters the Canary in the Coal Mine?🦜 Are we the early warning system for market shifts? We've picked up a crazy amount of jobs recently and are trying to figure out why. Recruiters should always know their stats. If you are paying good money to a recruiter, you can only measure it on retention rates which provides you with an accurate measure on ROI. Always ask! If your recruiter doesn't know, it's likely they don't really care!
10 Years Experience | 91% Retention Rate - candidates still in post after a year | 100% Success Rate in Executive Search | Family Run | Manufacturing and Life Sciences | Fair Fees & Tailored Solutions
"What is your retention rate?" If you are using a recruiter to assist you with a vacancy, you definitely need to be asking this question. Mine is 91%. That means 91% of the people I recruit are still working for my client 1 year on. Why do I know this number? Because it's my business to know this number. I work hard for my family it's important for me to know my numbers. PS. Don't me and my daughter look cool 😎

Talent Specialist l Executive Search | Headhunter | I Represent Mining's Most-Wanted Top Talent | Women in Mining Specialist l Leadership -Corporate -Transition Coach
💎 Diamonds are formed under pressure. And 🥖 bread dough rises when you let it rest. We are all our own things. What may be motivating to you may be crippling to others. As a recruiter in the mining sector, this quote by Victor Linao resonates with me. Matching employers with top talent requires more than just a job description and a resume. It requires a match in values and vision between the employer and the employee. Being a skilled connector, a master craftsman who delivers successful outcomes - that drives me. The key is in the close cooperation between the recruiter, employer, and prospective employee. ⛏ If you are a mining sector employer looking for top talent or an employee seeking new opportunities, let's connect and see how we can work together now or in the future. Let's rise to the occasion, together. #miningsector #recruitment #hiring #jobsearch

The hidden time cost of property investing (…and why using a sourcer is a game-changer): Ever wondered why so many property investors burn out? Here's the brutal truth about the time sink of DIY deal hunting: 🚩 Endless viewings Most agents won't even consider your offer without a viewing. And with block viewing schedules, you're looking at multiple days off work. What price would you put on that? 🚩 Building agent relationships No reputation? Expect to be at the bottom of the call list for good deals. How many coffees and calls can you squeeze in around your 9-to-5? 🚩 Discount detective work Want below-market deals? You'll need to master the art of sussing out motivated sellers. But for every discounted gem, expect dozens of dead ends. 🚩 Juggling act Balancing property hunting with a full-time job isn't just hard – it's often impossible. Missed opportunities and stressed-out evenings become the norm. Here's why smart investors use sourcers: • We've already built strong agent relationships • Our full-time focus means we catch deals you'd miss • We know how to negotiate discounts effectively • You save countless hours (and headaches) Real talk: I recently spent 4 months on a single deal, navigating: • Multiple buyer dropouts • Complex negotiations • Unexpected survey results • Last-minute price adjustments Could you dedicate that kind of time while holding down your day job? The math is simple: Time saved + Stress reduction + Better deals = Massive ROI on using a sourcer Stop sacrificing your work-life balance. Let a professional handle the grunt work while you focus on strategy and reaping the rewards. Want to see how much time and effort goes into sourcing just one killer deal? Check out this timeline of my recent 4-month property journey:

Senior HR Leader, Expert People Champion|Helping cultivate culture|Bringing positive impact to employees
I’ve noticed a huge increase in scam emails pertaining to false jobs. Particularly solar companies claiming to need reps in USA and they all use same email format with same comp rates. They use names of actual company from senior leadership so I take liberty to connect with them and inform of email. Of course they tell me these are false roles and no such job would exist with them. This is one example out of many industries and companies being falsely used for desperate job seekers. What have YOU noticed in your job search journey?
