This month, RB2B's AI support agent is on track to save us 22% fewer human hours compared to last month. That sounds bad, right? It's actually great. Here's why. BACKGROUND I’ve been focused on optimizing how many hours our AI saves every month. Here's how it has performed so far: - June: 120.81 hours - July: 136.07 hours - August: 142.44 hours - September: 121.83 hours - October: 128.83 hours This month? The projection is just 101.90 hours saved. ——— HERE’S WHY THAT’S A WIN The drop isn’t because: - Resolution rates tanked: we’re still holding strong at 64.5% last week and 60%+ for the month. - Platform growth slowed: our signups are steady week over week. ——— THE REAL REASON I’ve mentioned a lot lately that I’ve been refactoring our knowledge base. The main goal was to increase the AI’s resolution rate. But, I went on a side quest. I wanted to also reduce the need for support tickets in the first place. Here’s what I’ve noticed: - The number of articles read by users (9,374 in the past 4 weeks) hasn’t changed. - The pace of tickets submitted is 80% of what it was last month. But. why? Our guides and troubleshooting materials are now clearer, more accessible, and more effective. Users are finding answers without needing to submit tickets. ——— THE BIG PICTURE Sometimes, less work saved by AI means less work created for humans altogether. March update from Engaige and HelloPrint 🚀 8 weeks after going live, our AI customer service agent resolved 40% of HelloPrint’s tickets. Now, 8 months later, we are deflecting 80% of all tickets. How did we make this happen? 👉 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: We continuously improve the AI customer service agent we have launched for HelloPrint based on customer feedback and real life scenario’s. This way we can gradually increase the automation coverage. 👉 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭: Adding relevant information for our AI agent to use. When we find a knowledge gap, HelloPrint works on filling that gap, making sure that the next time, we know what to say. 👉 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: We increased the amount of actions that we could take in HelloPrint’s systems and with that increased the overall capabilities of the AI service agent. 👉 𝐀𝐈 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: LLMs are getting better and better, allowing us to use smarter models, that have better reasoning capabilities than before, making it into a human-like conversation. "If my neighbor has a cool toy, I want it too". Heard this statement from a GTM consultant a few days ago. They cool toy they were referring to is ... * drum roll * ... AI agents. But nobody knows where to purchase this toy. Or even how much it would cost. Or if it will actually work. Here's the cool part: You don't have to spend millions on a "digital transformation" journey to make AI agents work. You can and should start simple, with just one use case, automated with: - Commercial agentic platforms (for ex. Vapi or Synthflow for voice-based agents). - Your private LLMs (open-source LLMs finetuned on your data). Until then, no one can "digitally transform" you because no one truly understands agents or LLMs at scale, or when they'll hit a wall, or where they're headed. Start small.

The central focus – no surprise – has been to discuss and learn how members are seeking to quantify the value of their new AI capabilities. The community has an #AI value story in seven (7) different categories: 🔹Efficiency gains and cost savings Members are quantifying how AI automates processes, reduces manual work, and optimizes operations, leading to significant cost reductions that can be passed on to their customers.
