VP Strategic Health & Wellness at RLA Global - Thought leader in #wellbeing hospitality #fitnessbusiness #wellbeingROI #sport #adventure #hotels & resorts #technology
Social wellness, the sharing of healing experiences gains pace, applicable to stand alone wellness locations, hotels and resorts; the theme being that the sharing of these feel good experiences strengthens the positive experience. Nothing new perhaps given the long history of shared wellness experience such as sauna, Hammam, or more recently group experiences such as the exhilarating wild swimming trend. These new locations are taking this to a another level with a focus on cool places to hang out for recovery, rejuvenation and social connection. As the demand for holistic wellness experiences continues to grow, it's likely that we'll see more establishments embracing this trend and reimagining traditional hospitality offerings to better cater to the evolving needs of wellness-conscious travelers. I help hospitality leaders create wellness assets through my proven 7-step ESSENCE framework | #1 Best-selling author of The Wellness Asset | Wellness Business Coach
What happens when you have the RIGHT wellness concept from the get go? 👉🏼 Even the simplest of actions, like tweaking a protocol, changing opening times, or introducing a simple in-room wellness accessory can have a huge impact. Why? Because all these changes are strategic and aligned with the wellness asset you've created. You have ensured that you have 'bet on the right horse' so to speak. You know that whatever wellness offering you have - even if it is simple, done on a shoe-string budget and with a lean, ordinary but keen team - you have unwavering faith that it is the RIGHT wellness offering for your hotel. It makes sense with your hotel's overall vision, mission and purpose. You have not left crafting your wellness offering to chance, and nor have you added it because your competitor next door built a spa and gym as part of their expansion plan. Wellness is an integral part of the way you do business at your hotel; it is what connects you to your people, your community, your guests, your environment - the entire ecosystem. And you are also bold on how you choose to define wellness - it isn't about having a full-blown spa, or state-of-the-art gym. For you, wellness is a way of life - it's how you do hospitality, and it doesn't need to be about detox smoothies, killer work-outs or decadent massages. It's the toolbox you make available to your guests so that they can enhance their overall wellbeing - albeit drinking a gorgeous glass of Rioja wine and reading that book you've had on your list for a few months. To achieve this level of wellbeing isn't about grand facilities or great teams. It's about intentionality - ensuring your wellness concept has the potential to be successful as well as realistic to implement and sustain. Question: 👉🏼 Are you certain you have the right wellness concept for your hotel? #wellness #hotels #wellnessinhospitality
