🌟 Terrific review of the use of VR systems in outpatient rehabilitation, focusing on unique clinical applications and how VR/AR can enhance traditional care. Physical Therapy has few modalities with the same level of empirical evidence and validity as VR, making it a powerful addition to the MSK workflow. Given the limited availability of evidence-based modalities, VR should be a standard option in physical therapy. Having integrated VR extensively in clinical care, I can attest to its clinical efficacy and enhanced patient experience. Building a diverse portfolio of innovative and traditional pathways is crucial for adding value and increasing clinical utilization in the PT space.
