CAN 👏🏼 WE 👏🏼 TALK 👏🏼 ABOUT 👏🏼 THIS 👏🏼 TRAILER 👏🏼 Here are 5 things that make it exceptional: → Minimal b-roll (keeps the focus) → Simple scoring (builds intrigue) → Natively vertical (perfect for mobile) → 19 seconds long!! (short, sharp, and impactful) → Clear, simple CTA (compels action) STEREOPHONIC always stood out. Even during its off-Broadway run, the branding was different. It felt more like a Hollywood blockbuster than a stage play. And when it hit Broadway? The buzz was unreal. Sure, the rave reviews and word-of-mouth played their part, but the marketing and PR? That’s what took it to the next level. 👉 Key takeaway: When done right, branding isn’t just an accessory—it’s an extension of the work itself. It’s as vital as lighting, set design, or sound. We should all be taking notes 📝 #digitalmarketing #creativity #advertisingandmarketing
The most Tony Award-nominated play ever, Stereophonic is coming to London and we’re delighted to be partnering with Sonia Friedman Productions across all areas of the campaign. Written by David Adjmi, with music by Arcade Fire's Will Butler, Stereophonic invites audiences to immerse themselves- with a fly-on-the-wall intimacy-in the powder keg process of a band on the brink of blowing up. 🎭 Duke of Yorks Theatre 🗓️ May 2025 🎫 Sign-Up for early access here: https://lnkd.in/ezwu7Diy

The science of art... or the art of science? I have long been fascinated by ground motion generated by concerts and sporting events.
Taylor tremor seismo-art. Each panel shows horizontal ground motion caused by fans dancing to each song at Taylor Swift’s Wembley, London concert. Up-down on your screen = north-south; left-right = west-east. The size of each dot is proportional to the level of ground motion.

This diagnosis by Prof Rex Nettleford still stands to a large extent: “The theatre-arts in Jamaica are plagued by the country’s economic constraints. No Government, despite successive administrations’ declared commitment to cultural development since and before Independence, has been able to budget outright subsidies for performing artists, whether they be musicians, actors, dancers or musical theatre artists. In addition, the small population base finds itself incapable of supporting fully paid theatre companies. Most theatre folk in Jamaica do not make a living from theatre, and no dance company in Jamaica functions in that sense of professionalism, whatever may be the claims to the contrary.” (Nettleford - “Dance Jamaica: Renewal and Continuity” 251). ---- 1. How and why, then, do we tout the term 'professional' among Jamaican Dance Theatre Companies? 2. What are the implications? Who benefits? Who suffers? 3. What are the power dynamics at play in the administration of cultural organizations such as Jamaican dance companies? Join me on November 7 as we discuss these questions and more. Big thanks to the ICS UWI Mona for providing a platform to discuss my work.

Singing is not my main professional activity, but knowing what it actually means, is an advantage while directing singers. Here is my live performance of Jacques Brel's Ne me quitte pas. A bit old, but always beautiful. Accompanied by Maria GoJa. I hope you find it inspiring 🌸 #NeMeQuittePas #chanson #Gesang #JacquesBrel #Performance #regie #musicvideos #musicvideo #musikvideos #musikvideo
