I’m grateful for the opportunity to return to the Harvard Business School classroom this week, teaching the Newsweek case study to an incredible cohort of OPM executives. Sharing the story of Newsweek’s transformation – from its legacy roots to a modern, innovative media company – with such dynamic, global business leaders was an enriching experience. We explored not only the challenges of reinvention but also the strategic pivots and growth opportunities that come with navigating disruption in today’s digital landscape. I was inspired by the engagement, insights, and perspectives brought forward by the OPMers. The collaborative spirit and curiosity in the room reminded me once again of the strength of the HBS network and the continuous learning journey we’re all on as leaders. At Newsweek, we believe that real progress happens when innovation and responsibility come together. During #ClimateWeekNYC 2024, we had the honor of hosting two events that explored this balance in the fight against climate change. Our first event, “Pillars of The Green Transition,” brought together leaders across energy, transportation, and industry to discuss the urgent steps needed to accelerate progress toward #NetZero. It was inspiring to witness the collective determination to turn ambition into action, as we explored how critical sectors can meet the 1.5°C targets of the Paris Agreement. Recently, I had the privilege to stand alongside an incredible group of leaders at The Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Awards. These entrepreneurs and corporate executives embody the spirit of innovation that drives the U.S. economy forward. The 23rd anniversary of the awards was a celebration of the role that Asian American professionals, entrepreneurs, and executives play in driving innovation, shaping industries, and contributing to national economic growth. It was also a recognition of the generations of Asian Americans whose resilience and relentless drive laid the foundation for modern generations of Asian Americans to stand on. Thank you to the Asian American Business Development Center and John Wang for this tremendous honor and for continuing to recognize and elevate the achievements of Asian American leaders in business.

Physician burnout is at an all-time high, with nearly half of doctors experiencing symptoms last year, as reported by the American Medical Association. However, there is a promising future ahead—advances in generative AI could lead to substantial improvements in healthcare, transforming both patient outcomes and physician well-being. I'm honored to be featured by Harvard Business School Executive Education, where I share insights from my experience in the Owner/President Management (OPM) program. The OPM journey has been transformative, not just in terms of my professional growth but also in how I approach leadership, strategy, and innovation at Newsweek. The program challenged me to think critically, embrace diverse perspectives, and continuously seek opportunities to innovate and lead with purpose. The relationships built and the knowledge gained continue to shape how I navigate the complexities of today’s business environment. It’s a rare privilege to be in a classroom with such accomplished entrepreneurs and business owners from around the world. We fondly refer to ourselves as "OPMers," and this community is truly an inspirational group of leaders whose friendship and network I deeply value. The combination of such influential individuals under the HBS umbrella forms a powerful network that I’ll cherish and value for the rest of my life.
