Beverage Directors with Multi-Unit Experience (AND AN ITCH TO RELOCATE TO EUROPE!)! This Job on National Bootlegger's Day is for you! $120K plus bennies, bonus, and relo package. What is most interesting about National Bootleggers' Day is how the start of prohibition in the U.S., the distillation of Templeton Rye whiskey, and the birthday of the infamous gangster Al Capone are all interconnected. It was the onset of prohibition that prompted both Capone and farmers in Templeton, Iowa, to distill their own whiskey to sell. This was how the famous Templeton Rye whiskey was born, and its popularity spread like wildfire during prohibition… so much so that it became Al Capone’s favorite whiskey. The question is: Is it still a Rusty Nail if you make it with Templeton Rye?

Brewers Choice Awards 2024 Young Brewer of the Year supported by Totally Natural Solutions Ltd There are some incredibly-talented young brewers working in the brewing industry in the UK and Ireland. Some young brewers are running their own operations, others are cutting their teeth working at established outfits. Regardless, these brewers are making their mark on the industry and are certain to have a long, successful career in the field. Young is, also, a subjective term. You are only as old as you feel, of course. But for the purpose of this category, a young brewer is anyone under the age of 33. If you’re submitting an entry on behalf of yourself, tell us about your responsibilities and successes in last 18 months. Here you can also nominate someone that has gained you respect. Maybe it’s a recipe that’s been developed, or the impact made on the company’s operations. Equally, it might involve improvements to quality and consistency thanks to the work carried out in the lab. Again, it might be all of the above! https://lnkd.in/e-G3wFVP

Director of Development at Health and Welfare Council of Long Island (HWCLI). Host of the Whiskey Ring Podcast and owner of Whiskey Ring Productions LLC.
A Boot Hill is a burial ground for the unclaimed, the poorest, and those hanged for misdeeds. For some, a Boot Hill was necessary - it got them the first few steps to heaven. And Dodge City, the fabled town of the old west, has the original Boot Hill. Boot Hill Distillery isn't located on top of the hill, exactly (it's quite close), but it is built on those stories. Images of Wyatt Earp and other famous lawmen and outlaws grace their bottles while the whiskies are made with grains grown as close nearby as possible. The brand is, after nearly a decade, still relatively young. Its whiskies are maturing, and its focus on wheat - the staple crop of Kansas - is bearing fruit in what's already out. We go through the founding story, how elements of the old west and the rich history are interwoven into the bourbon, wheat whiskey, and other spirits, and where Boot Hill is going from here. Thanks everyone for listening, and thank you to Lee for entering the Whiskey Ring! _________________________________________________________ Before we jump into the interview just a few quick notes: Ad-free listening is now available to $5/month patrons and above! Diving into the craft of distilling spirits, it's a journey that constantly surprises you with daily hurdles. In this uber-competitive alcohol space, there's global competition, national competition and intra-state compeition, all presenting their own unique challenges. One such welcome surprise is the strong sense of community within the Texas distilling industry, amongst those distilleries who share our passion and goals of producing superior, high quality spirits, as many of us have a shared passion for creating authentic, quality experiences with our spirits. In Texas, we're seeing a boom of independent distilleries rising to offer an array of ultra-premium spirits. This isn't just about competition; it's about collaboration and innovation. We're pushing the spirits industry forward by ensuring our products reflect the rich local resources and culture, while equally meeting and exceeding international standards. As I continue to develop my own ultra-premium Texas spirits, I'm excited about the future - for both my business and the industry as a whole. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that Kentucky is the only place that makes great Bourbon. Ten years ago, Texas Bourbon was an afterthought. Today, you're seeing significant investment and M&A activity in Texas, even by national and Kenutcky brands, becuase of the advancements and quality of products produced in Texas. But let's remember that despite rapid progress in technology and trends, at its heart, distilling is still an age-old craft requiring patience and passion and we're still in our infancy with the best yet to come. Here's to respecting tradition while embracing change! Cheers! #craftppirits #texasdistillery #mixology #barrelaging

Strong writing can entice people to shrug at low production value.
Cape May is a state of mind but also a place and it’s a beer, too. This is from a campaign made with friends at Canales & Co. currently storming the beaches of the Jersey Shore. It's for fans of sunny days, cold beers and extended run-on sentences.
