Scriptural thought for today Is This World Going To End? (Mt 24:14) Perhaps you are aware that the Bible speaks of the end of the world at 1Jo 2:17. Is it referring to the end of the human race? Will planet Earth become a lifeless wasteland or be destroyed completely? The answer to these questions is NO… *Isa 45:18 says that God “did not create [the earth] simply for nothing but formed it to be inhabited.” *The Bible compares the coming end of this world to what happened in the days of Noah. At that time, the earth was “full of violence.” (Ge 6:13) However, Noah was righteous, so God preserved Noah and his family but He destroyed the wicked people by means of a flood. Referring to what happened back then, the Bible says: “The world of that time suffered destruction when it was flooded with water.” (2Pe 3:6). That was the end of a world. Yet, what was destroyed? Not the earth but the wicked people on the earth. Thus, when the Bible speaks of the end of the world, it is not referring to the destruction of the planet… instead it is referring to the end of wicked people on the earth and to the ‘system of things’ they have put together. *“Just a little while longer and the wicked will be no more; you will look at where they were and they will not be there. But the meek will possess the earth and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” (Ps 37:10, 11) To see more go to this article – https://lnkd.in/dhN4s6eZ

Day 19: Happy Juneteenth and this last day at the lake chose yet another green book to read! (Banner 18!) A beautiful guide to integrating work on decolonization, ancestor connection, and remembering our Self: “The Land in Our Bones: Plantcestral Herbalism and Healing Cultures from Syria to the Sinai--Earth-based Pathways to Ancestral Stewardship and Belonging in Diaspora” by Layla K. Feghali. I studied “crossroads” with Jade T. Perry and this book evokes this complex borderland area as a eco-cultural bridge between multiple worlds - preceding colonial intervention and within its wreckage simultaneously. A balm to those struggling with being part of any diaspora, seven essential teachings are shared and then carried across in discussions not often read about in most plant messenger books (including pomegranate, cinnamon, date palms and henna) 1) our bodies are earth and archive; 2)we must feel to heal; 3) the earth re-members; 4) stories and their places carry keys; 5)relationships determine life; 6) we are our ancestors; and 7)remembrance is return. It is a fully embodied praxis of listening to food as we prepare, consume and integrate it: “to attune to the plantcestral world, we must relearn to access and honor the multisensory ways we know and connect.” And all of these tracings of roots teaches us “the answers are closer than we think.” #plantsmakepeoplehappy #ancestralhealing #inbetweenplaces

https://lnkd.in/eBwC6C8M 5 BC dates are essential to Christianity and important in world history. They are 1) creation, 2) the Flood, 3) Exodus, 4) the call of Abram, and 5) Ezra's completion of the Old Testament. Why I am Writing This Today Few people read the Bible these days. Those who do, focus on the New Testament The Old Testament is much longer, 581,112 words v.175,734. The Old Testament narrative covers 3500 years, the New 70. The time is challenging. So is the grouping of its 39 Books. It seems an amorphous blob to most. It was not so until the 20th century. In 1650, James Ussher published the Annals of the World. His method combined historical and astronomical data. The events of the bible were studied and given dates. They provide a framework that makes sense of ancient history. They also make the past more tangible and orderly. Read on, and be blessed. These 5 BC dates put handles on the Word of God. ******************************************************** THE BIBLE STANDS The Bible stands like a rock undaunted ’Mid the raging storms of time; Its pages burn with the truth eternal, And they glow with a light sublime. Refrain The Bible stands though the hills may tumble, It will firmly stand when the earth shall crumble; I will plant my feet on its firm foundation, For the Bible stands. The Bible stands like a mountain towering Far above the works of men; Its truth by none ever was refuted, And destroy it they never can. Refrain The Bible stands and it will forever, When the world has passed away; By inspiration it has been given, All its precepts I will obey. Refrain The Bible stands every test we give it, For its Author is divine; By grace alone I expect to live it, And to prove and to make it mine. Refrain --Haldor Lillenas, 1917 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away. But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. 1 Peter 1:1 Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! The B-I-B-L-E, yes that’s the Book for me. I stand alone on the Word of God, the B-I-B-L-E!

According to ancient teachings, the soul transcends mortality, transitioning from one body to another after death, akin to changing garments. This cycle of rebirth, or reincarnation, is intricately linked to one's actions, or karma. Depending on these actions, individuals may be reborn into various forms, including birds, animals, or humans. Let's delve into the fascinating concepts of reincarnation and karma together! #reincarnation #ancientwisdom #sadhak #iitmadras
