Behind the scenes.... I'm working hard to get my proposal for my new Business Analyst* monthly packages and VIP Days ready... so much to think about and lots of information to collect and share 💡 At the same time, I'm clearing our garden "jungle", supporting my husband in our motor trade business and getting started on LinkedIn. Plus "life stuff!" It's been a baptism of fire learning, doing and implementing recently!! 🔥🔥 All this "Just focus on one thing" is a bit of a myth for me 🤣😂 Time blocking... time to try you again I think! At least the driveway looks a bit clearer after yesterday's efforts! 📸 How do you juggle it all? ----------------------------- * I'm a Business Analyst, helping small business owners who are working ALL the hours to take more time off! I capture and streamline their tasks, upskill their team and implement controls and tracking... helping them to grow and scale their business and feel like the CEO👍

I could get on my soap box all day about this, but it really comes down to being willing to take credit for our work and being ABLE to articulate the value we create with 100% confidence and clarity. This is an essential skill set for today's business analyst, no matter your title, role(s), or what type of team you are on. 🎄 Wrapping up my first month in a new role—and guess what? I’m still smiling! 😊 A few nuggets from my dive into the Professional Services at GoodData world: ✨ Serving clients isn’t just “business as usual.” Coming from the customer acquisition side, I wasn’t quite prepared for the whirlwind of excitement (and challenge) that is customer success. It’s a whole new adventure—and I’m loving it. 💡 These folks are unstoppable. Watching my colleagues go above and beyond to make customers successful is nothing short of inspiring. They're always ten steps ahead, juggling their own work while helping customers hit their goals. 🏆 Now I get it. All those glowing customer references about GoodData Professional Services? Totally deserved. This team pours their hearts into making customer dreams come true. Sure, it takes hard work (and a bit of sweat), but they deliver—and that’s what sets them apart. 🤝 The team has been amazing. Switching roles is never easy, and moving positions internally adds its own layer of complexity. But the support from my team has been incredible—I couldn’t be more grateful! I've just been doing some digging... There are 245 Data Leaders in the UK who have got new jobs within the last 3 months (at new businesses) That's only at businesses above 5000 employees too Those roles span; Heads of, Director, VP and CDAO level It's not a poor market, it's just competitive!

Kevin Woolum, an EHM Analyst, emphasizes the importance of understanding what you are looking at in order to know what questions to ask the customer. He provides an example of a situation where one of his customers had a service center work on their new engine and claimed that it was fine, but the customer felt that it wasn't performing correctly. Kevin reached out to the customer and was able to confirm that the engine was indeed not performing as expected. As a result, they were able to get the service center to investigate the issue with the engine. #camp #analyst #customerstories

As an analyst if you're not prepared to argue your case, you're not going to be a good analyst. You're job is to be a beacon of light not to kiss your stakeholders arse.
