A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined our recent LinkedIn audio event featuring Dinka Krcelic, an experienced business trainer and executive coach. For those who couldn't make it, here are the key takeaways: The pandemic-driven accelerated shift to online training has opened doors to innovation and global reach. It has improved accessibility and cost-effectiveness, allowing anyone with an internet connection to participate from anywhere. For trainers and educators, this means new markets and international clients. For us English language teachers specifically, an even more pronounced need for promoting English as a global language. Maintaining engagement in virtual settings is crucial. Dinka emphasised keeping sessions interactive and avoiding long monologues, noting that it takes about 5 minutes to engage or disengage an online audience. This ties into purpose-driven training - always align your content with the specific needs and goals of your trainees. Content delivery requires balancing theory and practice. Consider session duration and engagement levels, mixing live sessions with pre-recorded materials and interactive forums for longer programmes. A thorough, repeated needs analysis through interviews and targeted questions is essential for tailoring training effectively. Leverage technology wisely, focusing on tools that support your learning objectives. Be mindful of energy levels in online settings and develop strategies to build virtual rapport. Flexibility is crucial - be ready to adapt your style based on group dynamics and individual needs. Authenticity emerged as a central theme. Being genuine is key to connecting with participants virtually, building trust across digital platforms. For those working with larger organisations, securing stakeholder buy-in is critical. Ensure organisational support for dedicated learning time and environments. Looking ahead, we expect a continued blend of online and face-to-face training. AI is already impacting training delivery, from personalised learning paths to automated assessments. Our focus needs to be on human connection and critical thinking if we are to remain relevant and effective. When measuring effectiveness, align assessment methods with training purposes, considering skills improvement, knowledge gain, network building, and motivation levels. This event underscored the importance of thoughtful, well-prepared, and learner-centred approaches to online business training. As we navigate education together, let's continue to innovate, adapt, and focus on delivering real value to our learners. What is your experience with online training, either as a trainer or a learner? Share your tips, challenges, or success stories in the comments!

Nearly 6 years ago, they asked me, "Would you like to establish an Academy department for us? The target groups are partners, customers, and colleagues. The content is mainly sales and tech-related." And I said, "Yes." And I did... successfully: · from a one-woman show to an international team of 10 people · from providing trainings (classroom and self-study programs) in German and English to an offering in 5 languages · from providing mandatory trainings only to a training catalog with additional workshop and exercise day sessions (mandatory and on a volunteer basis) · from conducting onsite classroom trainings to remote, hybrid (blended learning), and virtual training sessions · from only one generic concept of just presenting information to several different interactive training concepts for both classroom and self-study · from awarding a few hundred certifications and recertifications per year to more than 16,000 per year To achieve all this in high quality, you need to · have skills and experiences in: - Team Leadership - Project Management - Project Leadership - Strategy Consulting - Process Consulting - General Consulting - Coaching - Concept Development and Creation - Moderation (including large group workshops with 500 people) - Training - Sales - Organizational Skills and Talent - Administration - Setting up a department · hire the right people · form a perfectly matching team · challenge team members, coach them, support them to develop and grow... as individuals and as a team · make the right choices assigning projects and tasks to team members · introduce a very powerful and flexible LMS platform (Learning Management System) · have team members being able to implement and configure any kind of training and administration concept in the LMS · have team members being able to create good texts for different kinds of target groups · have many different native languages represented in the team · have a team with sales and technical expertise and experience · have team members with strong communication skills · a team with expertise in the areas of design and concept, scripting, production, translation, presentation, training, didactics, pedagogy... · have an excellent network · and much more When it all comes together, you can feel happy, and you can feel really proud. My team and I do. I can't stop saying that my team is the best you can have. A big thank you to all of them! Do you also want to focus more on training and further education of your employees, customers, and partners to make your business even more successful? Then consider setting up your own high-quality academy 😉. Let's connect and discuss!

This article gives great insights into what is missing in today's intercultural training. But the suggested solutions mirror what I hear about the need to modernize our overall relocation and mobility solutions. We need to be more flexible and personalized in our approach to the overall relocation process. "Accessibility and flexibility: Training materials and resources should be easily accessible on various devices, allowing learners to engage with content at their convenience. Personalization: Learning experiences should be tailored to individual needs, taking into account the learner’s role, destination, and prior cultural experiences. Continuous learning: Rather than relying on one-time training sessions, intercultural learning should be an ongoing process that supports professionals throughout their international experiences. Practical application: Training should focus on providing practical, actionable insights that can be immediately applied in real-world situations. Engagement and interactivity: Utilizing modern technology to create engaging, interactive learning experiences that capture and maintain learners’ attention. Cultural intelligence development: Moving beyond surface-level cultural facts to help learners develop deeper cultural intelligence and adaptability skills." #globalmobility #WERC

How Singing Rhymes in a Professional Classroom Can Help Build Rapport and Break the Ice 🧊 Creating a positive and engaging environment in professional training sessions is crucial for effective learning. One unconventional yet highly effective method is incorporating rhymes into the classroom routine. Here’s how singing rhymes can help trainers build rapport with their participants and break the ice: 1. Creating a Relaxed Atmosphere: Professionals often face stress due to work pressures. Starting a session with a light-hearted activity like singing rhymes can create a relaxed atmosphere, making participants feel more at ease and open to engagement. 2. Fostering a Sense of Community: Singing together fosters unity and community among participants. It encourages collaborative interactions and breaks down barriers, helping build connections. 3. Encouraging Active Participation: Rhymes are engaging and fun. By encouraging participants to sing along, trainers can promote active involvement, especially among those who might be shy or reluctant to speak up during regular activities. 4. Boosting Confidence and Morale: Group singing can boost participants' confidence, providing a non-judgmental space for self-expression. This confidence can positively impact their participation and performance in other areas of the training. 5. Enhancing Memory and Learning: Rhymes and songs, with their repetitive and rhythmic patterns, can help participants retain information more effectively. This is useful when teaching complex concepts or terminology. 6. Providing a Fun Learning Break: Incorporating rhymes offers a refreshing break from traditional methods, injecting fun and humor into the learning process, and making sessions more enjoyable for everyone. 7. Showing the Human Side of the Trainer: When trainers participate in singing rhymes, it shows they are approachable and willing to have fun, making them more relatable and enhancing trainer-participant relationships. Practical Tips for Implementing Rhymes in the Classroom 1. Choose Appropriate Rhymes: Select rhymes suitable for professionals. Consider modern, relevant, and humorous content. 2. Integrate with Curriculum: Where possibl, use rhymes that complement the training material. 3. Encourage Voluntary Participation: Ensure that participation is voluntary to respect comfort levels. 4. Mix it Up: Use a variety of rhymes and songs to keep things interesting. 5. Lead by Example: Show enthusiasm and participate actively. Your energy will encourage participants to join in. In conclusion, singing rhymes in a professional classroom setup is a simple yet powerful tool for building rapport, breaking the ice, and creating a positive learning environment. By making learning fun and interactive, trainers can enhance participant engagement and foster a supportive community. #singing #passion #learningwithfun #funlearning #castudents #caaloksethi

One of the key areas we focus on is language development, and our Spoken English sessions are designed to improve communication skills through engaging and interactive methods. This initiative aims to equip children with the confidence and ability to express themselves effectively in English, a crucial skill for their future academic and professional success. Our Spoken English sessions are meticulously planned to make language learning enjoyable and effective. Here’s how we structure these sessions and the benefits they bring: 1. Learning English through Speaking: Children participate in speaking sessions where they take turns and ask each other names. This activity helps improve their, pronunciation, and narrative skills, fostering a love for language and creativity. 2. Learning English through drawing the words: Words-based games and drawing sessions are conducted to make the learning process a fun transition. 3. Peer Feedback and Encouragement: Children are encouraged to provide constructive feedback to their peers, fostering a supportive learning environment. This practice builds their confidence and helps them learn from each other’s experiences. Benefits of Learning Through Doing for Spoken English 1. Improved Fluency and Pronunciation: Regular practice in speaking and listening to English enhances fluency and pronunciation. Children become more comfortable with the language and can express themselves more naturally. 2. Enhanced Vocabulary: Interactive activities expose children to new words, making it easier for them to understand and remember. 3. Increased Confidence: Practical speaking opportunities build confidence, reducing the fear of making mistakes and encouraging children to participate more actively in conversations. 4. Better Communication Skills: Engaging in discussions, role-plays, and storytelling helps children develop effective communication skills, including clarity, coherence, and persuasive speaking. At the end, we serve snacks to celebrate the end of a successful day!!
