Plant (#Green) #Chambers on the Moon: As part of the #Artemis III mission, astronauts will establish “#growth #chambers” on the Moon to cultivate various plant species, including “#duckweed (view image) and #thale #cress”. These plants are chosen for their ability to adapt to the #lunar #environment and their potential as #sustainable #food sources. This initiative is part of the upcoming #2026 Artemis III #mission, which aims to return humans to the lunar surface. Duckweed #prevents #infection of the airways, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), gout, and other conditions.

EUROPA FILES E20 Since we think Europa may be able to support alien life, we do not want to contaminate it with Earth life. There is something called Planetary Protection, which is two sided. One side is to protect Earth from potential “space bugs” or hazards. This is why the Apollo 11 astronauts were quarantined when they landed back on Earth and why Mars Sample Return is such a challenge. The other side is not accidentally putting any “earth bugs” out in space where there could be alien life, like Europa. We don’t want to find life somewhere and have it accidentally be the life we brought with us. So Europa Clipper is going through many cleaning and sanitizing processes to eliminate the Earth bugs in everything from manufacturing to assembly. #europa #europaclipper #europafiles #europaicebath #europaphile

When astronauts embark on a journey to Mars, the phenomenon of time dilation becomes a significant aspect of their experience. This anticipated occurrence, where time passes at different rates for observers in motion or under the influence of gravitational fields, prompts the question: How much time dilation will astronauts encounter relative to Earth observers? #Mars #TimeDilation #Astronomy #PlanetaryScience #Science #Scitke

These #ingenious #ideas could help #Artemis #astronauts #produce #drinking #water on the #Moon There's a simple reason why Agency's upcoming Artemis missions are scheduled to land around the moon's south pole: The area is thought to be home to a lot of water ice. Humans can not only theoretically drink that moon waterThey can also split off oxygen atoms to create breathable air. But first, astronauts will need a way to turn ice into liquid water. Finding a viable way to do this is the goal https://lnkd.in/dbsayRpC

The Impact of Ancient Astronauts on Early Earthmen 🚀 #AncientAstronauts #History The video discusses the possibility of life on Earth being brought by visitors from another planet. While this idea may seem remote, it cannot be completely ruled out based on the findings. If ancient astronauts did visit Earth, they may have been worshipped, feared, or loved by early humans. They could have brought gifts, knowledge, or new technologies. Considering this premise, it suggests that some mysteries of our past may have been influenced by these visitors from another civilization. #AlienVisitors #AncientAstronauts #ExtraterrestrialLife #MysteriesOfThePast #VisitorFromAnotherPlanet #EarlyEarthmen #NewWorldOfKnowledge #AncientCivilization #LeverPrinciple #vizard

Let's talk about inflatable habitats! We discuss the steps to bring this technology to where it is today, and the challenges left to solve before #Artemis astronauts can seek shelter in one. #SpaceTechnology "There’s a number of different layers in there. You’re talking 20 or 30 layers total of various different types of fabric and membrane material." Tom Jones, expert on inflatable habitats, joins us: go.nasa.gov/3WaVKkY

MARS 🔵 Just because one might be able to find a couple of astronauts crazy enough to go on a human-crewed mission to Mars, is not sufficiently sensible reason to squander a vast sum of money pandering to such lunacy. MASSIVE SPEED INCREASE REQUIRED ⚫ The human-crewed mission from the Moon to Mars needs to be postponed indefinitely until we have increased the speed by which we are capable of traveling to and from the red planet, with the round trip from the Moon to Mars and back taking no longer than is currently required to journey from the Earth to the Moon and back — around a week. ROBOT ASTRONAUTS 🔵 Thoroughly mastering and building up our proficiency to a high level with robot astronauts is where we need to be putting our efforts at this point in time. ROBOT PLANET ⚫ Mars will be the first of our entirely robot-populated planets. 🔻Article: ➡ https://lnkd.in/guKgEihS #Mars

Home Sweet Home 🏡🌍🌱 (the title inspired from theguardian.com) Only a select few individuals have had the #opportunity to live in #outerspace for various missions. It can be unsettling to realize that there are no seasons to experience when gazing down at our #planet. No sights, no smells, no sounds, no odors... It is evident that outer space, to the best of our knowledge, is not a suitable environment for complex living organisms like #animals and #humans. While we appreciate the efforts of #space_agencies in exploring the unknown and rely on their #innovations for our daily lives, it is crucial to remember the importance of preserving our planet, #Mother_Earth. This is why I emphasize the significance of #sustainability and considering the #environmental impact of business decisions in my #Operations_Management class. #Sustainable_Operations_Management is key to ensuring a balance between progress and the well-being of our planet. This photograph (I love it so much)👇 was taken by the astronaut #Bill_Anders on Christmas Eve 1968 as the #Apollo8 spacecraft rounded the dark side of the #moon for a fourth time.
