Autonomous vehicles are a breakthrough technology with their smart systems and driven by software applications. One software keeping AV's on the right 'track' is Sensor Fusion Software. 🚗 This software collates data from multiple sensors (like lidar, radar, and cameras) to get a more accurate depiction of the surroundings. This fusion ensures fewer false readings and safer autonomous car journeys. However, real-time processing of this data is crucial for functional autonomous vehicles. It's vital that the software is regularly updated and calibrated for improved accuracy. Ensure that you use the latest version of the software to keep your AV safety standards high, and never miss an update. Remember, just like autonomous cars, safety should always be automatic in our daily tech lives. 🚗💻📡⚙️ #TechTip #AutonomousVehicles #SensorFusion #SoftwareUpdate #StaySafe

Our autonomous vehicles love data. So much so, that they collect more than 10 million megabytes (10TB) of it every single day. For most of us, 10TB can be difficult to grasp. But don’t worry – we’ve created a handy infographic to help you visualize what this number means. Could you watch 22,000 episodes of Game of Thrones in one day? Probably not. Everyone goes on about data. But why is it so important? As leaders of autonomous transport solutions, we rely on data for software development and improvement. We also use it to provide database services for our customers – for example, predictive maintenance based on data gathered during production. And our virtual driver uses data to learn about the world around our vehicles, so it can navigate them to their destinations safely and efficiently. #VolvoAutonomousSolutions #VAS #GuidedBySafety
