Good evening. It's my pleasure to have you at the age of 2024. And can I have your opinion about the Global Voices as an idea? How do you see it? Are you interested for the discussion which will be happen? Of course, it is my big pleasure to be here and I'm honored to be invited to this meeting. Well, I think it's a fantastic idea. Yes, physicians, we need to share our knowledge and our experiences in regards to diabetes care. We're still far from close to have good control generally speaking. And, and the BTC said major related disease which is causing a lot of has, you know, very significant problems like blindness, kidney disease. So, so I'm, I'm really, really happy to be here. I was very lucky in the past because I, I was able to share. Knowledge with other physicians who had been practiced for more years than me in other parts of the world. So the fact that we are going to meet here just to share our experiences, I think that's going to be very, very valuable. Yes, that's great. I would like to ask you about the the topic you're going to discuss at this session that you have and what the highlights of this session. Well, the highlights would be that CGM from my point of view in the future would be the standard of care. And the standard of monitor glucose for all people living with all types of diabetes, not only those ones with insulin therapy. Yeah. But in regards to those with insulin therapy, there is enough evidence and robust evidence base to suggest that it should be offered to every people living with diabetes, injecting insulin because it can improve clinical outcomes not only by reducing the hemoglobin A1C or increasing time in range, but also by modifying their behavior. Towards the disease, the diet, the exercise, and it's a major change in the life for people living with diabetes who once they have, they have access to it. Yes, and we are very lucky that we have funded now over the last two years for all people with type 2 on insulin. And that's why I want to share my experience on in that regard. How can governments and companies providing mental health apps work together to protect patients in a post-COVID digital world? To answer this question, the WEF and Deloitte have created a policy framework and toolkit. It is intended to guide lawmakers on successful strategies related to technology and mental health. The toolkit will be used by several groups: - Governments and regulators Encouraging government health authorities and regulators to test and adopt principles that promote the safe, ethical and trustworthy implementation of digital mental health services in their respective jurisdictions. - Healthcare, insurance and investors Enable understanding of the core components that need to be considered to evaluate, build and integrate high-quality digital mental health services. - Digital mental health innovators and companies Provide a roadmap for digital mental health innovators and companies to create trustworthy services. - Consumers and Communities Improving access to services that enable people around the world to achieve their desired emotional, social and psychological potential.

So deeply proud of our incredible country..even with all the challenges we are facing, we still manage to shift and improve in certain areas. The below study was conducted in 17countries, recently. This is an independent research project run by Bloom Consulting. Worth a read. Crime and security is holding us all back, but our Sports, Arts and Culture is leading. Our people, our beautiful country are a calling card. There is a positive demand for our education within Africa. We are extremely transparent in areas of reporting on crime statistics. As most countries don’t report on this area. We however are not telling our good stories, together. Collectively as corporations and SOE’s we need to be spending money on advertising, selling our country, positioning the best of ourselves. Whilst we still implement rebuilding of our beautiful country. European media needs to be a focus area to improve our brand and reputation. Huge opportunities for Tourism. Our digital presence to be improved… Each and everyone of us as SouthAfricans are ambassadors, let’s start flying our flag..personal love for South Africa. 🇿🇦 make her shine. Brand South Africa 🇿🇦
