It's time! The Diagnostic Robotics team including Dr. Kira Radinsky, Max Anfilofyev, CJ Elbogen, and Claire Pfarr are heading to #APGSpringCon24, and we're amped to help VBC providers address risk adjustment and help their patients prevent adverse health events! (We're also amped to bust a move for the "Thursday Night Fever" strolling dinner.) Come see us at booth 221! Kira will also be speaking alongside industry luminaries Matthew Solomon and Yale D. Podnos to set the stage for the future of complex care in their session, “AI on the Front Lines: Improving Outcomes and Reducing Costs for Complex Patients." You won't want to miss it! Will we see you there?

Imagine swallowing a tiny robot camera. Meet PillBot. A tiny, ingestible robot camera. It travels through your body, capturing everything. It's changing the way we look inside our bodies. No more invasive endoscopies. Just swallow a capsule. PillBot’s high-res camera sends live video to doctors. They can examine you from anywhere. That's the future of diagnosis, isn't it? Charles Gellman shared his TEDx talk with me, and I, in turn am sharing it with you. 50% of the chronically ill individuals in the US do not take their meds and, consequently, do not improve their health or their functioning. Charles set out to develop a solution. Watch the video and learn. #HiDO #hospitalization #meds #chronicallyill #prescriptions #roboticmedicaldispenser
In his TEDx talk, Charles Gellman revealed that 50% of people in the US who have a chronic illness do not take their medications as prescribed and the 3rd leading cause of death is medical errors. Shocking statistics such as these compelled him to co-found HiDO which developed a robotic medical dispenser that increased the intake of meds and reduced hospitalization. Many of our most impressive physical feats are possible thanks to the cooperation between our skin’s sensory functions and our muscle’s motor functions. What kind of achievements could robots perform with the same cohesion between sensing and action? With a new soft robot, researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are exploring the possibilities in the medical space. The implantable bots, primarily composed of two layers simulating skin and muscle, can sense and adapt to electrical activity, motion, and other dynamic aspects of the body. In a recent study, the researchers showcased their robots’ therapeutic and diagnostic potential across several model organs, including a mouse model of heart disease. Can an avatar appreciate hand-knit socks? A question you might chuckle at but one we joyously answer with a resounding YES! 🤩 Last week, we conducted a successful in-home pilot that exemplified just how #RoboticAvatars can change our approach to elderly care. Our tester, an independent spirit of 89, spent several days of companionship with #Robody. But how do we know the test was a real success? Well, Robody was even gifted a pair of home-knitted socks by the tester! In this simple gesture, we've witnessed the magic of human-robot interaction, making the essence of human care tangible, even from afar. Your support fuels our passion to revolutionize elderly care. Thank you for being part of this! See our technology in action. Watch the video on SWR and keep an eye out as we share more backstage moments 🎥🤖 SWR Diakoniezentrum Pirmasens Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin #Devanthro #Innovation #Robotics #TechForGood
