🌟 Did you know that emotional intelligence is one of the top 5 traits of a successful employee? At BRDG, we're committed to empowering our interns and other students with essential skills for professional and personal growth. Last weekend, we learned about emotional intelligence and its impact on the individual and others in life and the workplace. Here are some key takeaways: 1️⃣ Be aware of your emotions: Vital for personal growth and understanding yourself! 2️⃣ Embrace all emotions: They shape a well-rounded individual. 3️⃣ Be flexible: Don't cling to initial reactions; be accountable and adapt accordingly to your environment and situation. 4️⃣ Communicate: Make your goals and intent public to guide discussions effectively and avoid miscommunication. 💡No matter what role you play, understanding and harnessing emotional intelligence is vital to fostering a positive work environment and driving success. Thank you to our very own Edward De La Torre, Ed.D for hosting this workshop! Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gPzV5Ctk.

Founder & CEO, BusinessOutside® | Author | Facilitator | Executive Coach | YPO Board Member | Speaker
Knowing what you know now, what would you tell a group of 20 year old students? I posed this question to a Forum group of C-level executives in their 50s. Here is what they said, -Learning is not over. It’s just beginning -Find your passion -Don’t listen to the naysayer -Decisions you are about to make they are not as critical as you think -Be flexible and be prepared to pivot -Find your calling as early as you can in your career -Invest in yourself. Put yourself first. -You can do anything -Don’t lose connection with yourself -Nothing is pre-destined -Be engaged in your country What else?
We had an amazing time meeting the of Author, CEO and Executive Coach Bart Foster! We all learned a lot about who we want to be as people and what we want to do with our careers. KTP and I thank you for taking the time to come speak with us.
