Picture this: Kompally, Telangana. A vibrant locale just hours from Hyderabad, soon to be home to our flagship store. The challenge? Capturing the attention of our Gen Z audience in a way that felt authentic and local.
Here's how we cracked it:
▶️Go hyper-local: We partnered with End Of Drafts a Creative Studio to find the perfect local faces that our audience could relate to. No big celebrities, just real, relatable Gen Z faces.
▶️Ride the Instagram wave: We didn't just use Instagram; we became one with it. Every trend- we made it work for us. Stories, Reels, you name it.
▶️Pre-buzz is the new buzz: We didn't wait for launch day. We created a storm of anticipation, turning every post into a reason for our audience to mark their calendars.
▶️Collaboration is key: Our team at Style Union and the creative studio worked in perfect sync. Ideas flowed, creativity soared, and the results? They spoke for themselves.
The outcome? Our content didn't just perform – it overperformed. We saw engagement and reach numbers that blew our usual metrics out of the water.
But here's the real tea: It wasn't about following a textbook strategy. It was about understanding our audience, our brand, and the local flavor, then weaving it all together into a campaign that felt genuine and exciting.

🌍 GIVE A SCRAP - Spiking interest in zero waste crafts and recipes leveraging discarded/expiring foods (food sustainability!).
🍍 TROPIC LIKE ITS HOT - A rise in tropical decor and mocktails.
🧀 MELTY MASHUPS - Increases in recipes that fuse foods together like pizza pot pie +55%, gummy candy kabobs +170%, carbonara ramen +165%, cheeseburger tacos +255%, and burger quesadilla +80%. Um, yum!
🎨 KITSHENS - Designs involving eclectic and vintage decor will peak for kitchens.
☕ CAFECORE- Coffee bar/station styling will be a hot inspiration topic.

Dupes are everywhere these days and it's not just limited to fashion. From food to beauty, everyone is looking for value for money. As someone who tried a legit at-home dupe of a Joe and the Juice tuna sandwich this week, I can attest to this trend. There's no stigma in a dupe.
It's important for brands to adapt to this changing landscape. Some have embraced the dupe culture by offering more affordable alternatives themselves, while others focus on emphasising their unique value propositions and heritage. There are opportunities for innovation everywhere, whether it's offering a more affordable option, enhancing an existing product, or putting a unique twist on something.

Sharing the evidence of exploitation of slave labor and hazardous chemicals and materials have gone through the phases of educating to shaming - and now humor.
Is it a hot take to say that if it's a funny SNL skit, it's finally reached a point where people will take it seriously?
Sounds counterintuitive, but hard topics are the hardest to digest and take all kinds of touch points to resonate. Humor being an easy way in.
It's funny because it's true.

Just finished a podcast with Rick Rubin and James Perse. One point resonated with me after 15 years in fashion ecommerce: good merchandising is the secret weapon of successful brands.
A brand's story goes beyond pretty pictures and slick website design, directly impacting average order value, conversion rates, and brand loyalty.
James' insights align with Cobble Hill brand-working principles:
• Measure and personalize: User behavior and A/B testing unlock the key to conversions. Emma Montgomery-Campbell clearly knows this.
• Strategic pricing: Anchoring, bundles, and limited-time offers paint a picture of value.
• Visuals win: High-quality imagery and 360° spins bring a brand to life.
• Scarcity sells: James Perse demonstrates "less is more" with limited drops and curated collections.
One thing we have been emphasizing is that investing time and effort in deliberate merchandising crafts a compelling ecommerce experience that drive sales and cultivate brand loyalty. In the competitive fashion landscape, it's the differentiator that seems to set our brands apart.
