Mental health advocacy is more than a mission—it's a commitment to action. Doing your part means: 💬 Speaking up about mental health to break the stigma and encourage open conversations. 🤝 Supporting friends and family by being a listening ear and guiding them towards professional help. 🛠️ Seeking help yourself—therapy and rehabilitation are vital steps towards healing and growth. 💪 Economic strengthening efforts to ensure mental health services are accessible and affordable for all. 🏛️ Attending town halls and contributing to policy discussions to shape a supportive environment for mental health. 📚 Educating yourself and others on the importance of mental well-being. Let's build a community where mental health is prioritized, supported, and understood. Together, we can make a difference. #DrTapo #MentalHealthAdvocacy #SeekHelp #Therapy #Rehabilitation #EconomicStrengthening #PolicyContribution #MentalHealthMatters

On this World Mental Health Day, Suhani Gupta, Founder and President of the Neuro Health Alliance (NHA), wants to share what NHA means to our community. NHA was born out of a personal understanding of how isolating mental health struggles can be, and our mission is to ensure that no one faces these challenges alone. Our work is grounded in three pillars: Education, empowering people with tools to recognize and address issues like cyberbullying; Advocacy, amplifying voices and sharing personal stories that inspire understanding and connection; and Research, driving progress in early diagnosis and treatment. At NHA, we believe in fostering a world where mental health is treated with compassion and openness, and today, we invite you to join us in making that vision a reality. Together, we can create a community where mental health support is accessible to all. https://lnkd.in/dsYG3JJr #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #NHA #Education #Advocacy #Research #CommunityCare #CyberbullyingPrevention

Happy Friday, and the 4th day of Mental Health Month. Today I want to talk about one of my favourite words: advocacy. By working in the mental health and suicide prevention sectors over the past few years, I've been able to advocate for my own mental health needs. However, what's really filled my cup is advocating for others. Mental Health Month highlights the need for systemic change, policy reform, more funding, and better service delivery and supports. To me, advocating means using your voice, your passion and your drive to improve the wellbeing of others....which will ultimately save lives. How do you raise awareness? Reduce the stigma? Advocate for change? 💗 #livedexperience #reducethestigma #raiseawareness #mentalhealthmonth #advocacy #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthadvocate #suicideprevention

As we navigate our busy lives, it’s crucial to remember that mental health is just as important as physical health. Taking time to care for our minds can lead to improved productivity, creativity, and overall well-being. Here are a few simple practices that have made a difference for me: Mindfulness & Meditation - Even a few minutes of meditation can help clear your mind and reduce stress. Open Conversations - Sharing our thoughts and feelings can foster a supportive environment. Let’s break the stigma together! 3Setting Boundaries - It’s okay to say no to protect our mental space. Prioritize what truly matters. Let’s create a culture that values mental health and encourages open discussions. Remember, it’s okay to seek help and take breaks when needed. Together, we can make a positive change! 💚 #MentalHealthMatters #Wellbeing #Mindfulness #SupportEachOther

🌸Slay the Stigma, Build Your Crown: Why Mental Health and Self-Esteem Are BFFs!🌸 Maureen Kritzer-Lange here, with a topic that hits close to my heart: mental health and how it intertwines with that all-important royal accessory – self-esteem! CLICK HERE FOR FULL VIDEO: https://shorturl.at/artV4 Now, readers, Selena Gomez, that talented and stunning human being, recently opened up about her mental health journey on the Today Show. Let me tell you, it resonated deeply. We all know the pressure young people face today, and mental health battles are no fairy tale. Selena highlighted the importance of connection – which is key! We all need our village, our support system. But here's the truth: sometimes, those "connections" online can be more of a frenemy than a friend. Here's where self-esteem enters the throne room. When we have a healthy dose of self-love, we can build healthy online boundaries. We don't get caught up in comparison games or unrealistic portrayals. We curate our social media feeds to empower us, not tear us down. This resonates especially with those of you, my self esteem queens, who might be struggling with disordered eating. Negative self-talk and social media pressures can be a brutal combination. But remember, true beauty radiates from within, and that inner light comes from self-acceptance and mental well-being. Just like Selena, who uses her platform to raise awareness through Rare Beauty, let's all be advocates for ourselves and each other. Let's talk openly about mental health, break the stigma, and build that self-esteem like a glittering crown. Remember, your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Take care of yourself, connect with your village, and remember – you are worthy, you are strong, and you are RARE! #selfesteem #TodayShow #thequeenofselfesteem #mentalhealth #buildyourvillage
